Continuity mistake: During the stakeout of the apartment building, in the exterior shots of the Clyde Motorcycles shop, Danny is peeking out through a ripped paper opening within the letter "D" in Clyde. However, in the interior shots the black tape letters of the word Clyde differs. The paper is ripped between the two letters "D" and "E" and that space within the "D" is blocked with molding, making what is in the exterior shots quite impossible. (00:15:40)

Continuity mistake: When Danny interrupts Deacon and Kelly's dinner the couple retreat to their bedroom, and while Spence mumbles to himself as he clears the plates, in the closeup he places some plates on the pass-through shelf, but those plates have vanished in the next wide shot.

Continuity mistake: After George retraces Billy's steps before he went to the bank, George yells at Billy that he will not be the one to go to jail, and when Billy starts sobbing his right arm is over his left in the wide shot, but in the semi-closeup it's the opposite way, with Billy's left arm over his right. Continuity mistake: After George shows the bank examiner the newspaper and tells him about Harry's honor, George leads Mr. Carter to his office while holding the pipe in his left hand, but it cuts to the semi-closeup and the pipe is suddenly in George's right hand. (01:18:45)

Continuity mistake: While Clarence and George are at the Pottersville cemetery George asks about Mary, and in the shot facing Clarence he's holding his book upside-down with its spine facing him, but it cuts to the closeup and now the book is right-side up, with its spine facing the opposite way. Continuity mistake: After George rails at Uncle Billy for losing the bank deposit, when George gets home he removes his scarf and Mary tosses it onto the table beside the telephone. The scarf is still there when George and Mary head to the kitchen, but then it's suddenly gone and it's not on the floor either. Also, Pete jumps off the chair and is behind his parents, then two shots later jumps down again from that chair. (01:25:10)

Continuity mistake: While George is sprinkling coconut on Mary's ice cream he notices the telegram, and when he picks it up we see the lines of the message as well as the folds in the paper. In the next closeup the lines of the message and the paper's folds are entirely different. (00:07:15)

Continuity mistake: When Billy is at the bank to make the deposit he writes the date on the slip, and as he starts to take the cash out of the envelope he's still holding the nib pen between his fingers (behind the inkwell), but in the closeup the pen is gone, then in the next shot it's back between his fingers. Continuity mistake: After Clarence saves George from suicide, while they're both inside the bridge tollhouse, a photo suddenly appears tucked behind the thermometer between the two windows which was not in the first interior shot, and then it keeps disappearing and reappearing during this scene. Other changes occur within these shots, such as the window shade to the left of the door and Clarence's book position on the line. (01:39:50)

Continuity mistake: While the kidnappers try to grab the judge's son, Bill drives up and stops them. When one of the kidnappers flees the scene Bill takes off after him, and as Bill rams his car into the kidnapper's car, Bill's car is entirely different. Then it reverts back to the original car. Continuity mistake: While Tony drives his car to the pool hall with Charlie and Johnny Boy, in the initial overhead shot the car's front license plate is on the car, there are hood vents below the windshield, and there is only one sticker on the windshield. Then when Tony turns the corner the front license plate and hood vents are gone, and there are two stickers on the windshield. (00:27:00)

Audio problem: After Ralph gets the holograph showing Pam and Bill taken hostage, when Ralph makes an embarrassing entrance into the youth crime seminar he quickly impersonates a singing telegram, and his mouth is out of sync as we hear the phone number. (00:37:30)

Revealing mistake: While Ralph is in mid-air, en route to the airport cafe, something dips into view at the top left corner of the screen. Then when Ralph takes off from that cafe, two shots later as he's in mid-air, we can see the shadow of the helicopter filming the background stock footage, but it's been flipped so the helicopter is flying backwards, and when more background footage is shown again the helicopter shadow is flying properly. Continuity mistake: A woman tells Bill that her blind neighbor, Judy, is still in the burning building. In the following shot, when Tanner approaches the door there's a pane of glass beside the door knob and there's a backplate behind the knob, but in the next closeup both the pane of glass and the backplate have vanished.
