"I don't like confrontations!") are very similar to George McFly from Back to the Future. Is it possible that Wallace Shawn based his role of Rex on George McFly?

Question: I was wondering. Does Sid destroy toys because his father beats/abuses Sid, so Sid lets out his anger on toys? This would explain all the locks on Sid's door, to hide from his father and to hide what he does to toys. When Scud is looking for Woody, he notices Sid's father sleeping, and Scud walks away, which could mean that Scud doesn't want to wake up Sid's father knowing he is a cruel and violent man.
Answer: This is a Disney/Pixar production, at no point are they intimating that kind of a relationship between son and father. If anything, the father simply doesn't care what his son gets up to so long as he isn't disturbed by it. Any other inferences you get from the movie are for you to contend with, but the family nature of the movie would suggest beating/abuse is not the answer.
Question: What is the relevence of the time 8:49pm that appears at the start of the film?
Question: When Russell becomes infected, he tells the sheriff that he has saved him three times, yet I've seen the movie twice and saw Russell only save him two times (when he unplugs the razor machinery in the morgue and shoots a crazy through the window). Did I miss the third one?
Answer: The third time is by not shooting him right there.
Answer: When Judy was tied up in her baby room after the sheriff stabbed the other mom in the neck.
Question: Is it ever revealed why Candy has the abortion? She is in a relationship with the baby's father, they both have jobs, etc. Is it because she doesn't want to raise the baby herself while he's at war?
Answer: She was not married to the baby's father, which would have been an absolute stigma at the time.
Question: I LOVE these movies and have seen them over 100 times. But one thing I never understood was when Doc was struck by lightening in 1955 and got sent back 1885 wouldn't the Delorean be there with him?
Chosen answer: Of course it did. You're not thinking fourth dimensionally :-) Doc and the DeLorean were sent back to 1885. Doc then placed the DeLorean in the abandoned mine for Marty to retrieve in 1955. Marty then used the repaired DeLorean to travel back to 1885. So technically, during Marty's time in 1885, there are TWO DeLoreans, the one in the abandoned mine (that Doc brought back with him) and the one in Doc's workshop (the same Delorean, just older, which Marty travelled in).
Question: Why does Lana at the end of the movie call Brandon "Teena"?
Answer: Brandon's birth name is Teena Tenae Brandon. When Teena decided to become a man, he reversed his first and last name to become Brandon Teena. Lana may have continued to call him Teena as a form of "I know the real you" familiarity "pet name".
Question: At the end of the movie, at one point, Francis loses the stick bug. While looking for him, he says, "I'm right here, the only stick with eyeballs!" or something like that. Can he actually be found on the screen or, for comedic purposes, was it impossible to find him?
Answer: For comedic purposes, it's impossible to find him.
Question: I have read somewhere that there might be a sequel to Monsters, Inc. to be released in 2013. Is there any truth to this rumor?
Answer: Yes, a number of reputable sources have reported that original director Pete Docter is working on developing a sequel. While a couple of sources suggest a 2012 release date, most point to a 2013 release being most likely.
Question: Three questions. Is there anything from Cars in The Incredibles, just like Nemo in Monsters Inc, Mr Incredible in Nemo? Is the Pizza Planet Truck in this movie? Is the Brad Bird who worked on this movie that same Brad Bird that can be seen in the end credits for the Simspons?
Answer: Three answers. (1) Yes, the Hudson Hornet can be seen in the background during the final fight against the Omnidroid, just as Frozone extends his snowboard. (2) Yes, it appears on the highway as the Parrs travel towards the final battle. (3) Yes, it is, Bird worked on the Simpsons from when the show started in 1989 until about 1997.
Question: When the toys are trying to get into the big building, Rex comments that they can use balloons to float to the 23rd floor. Could this have possibly been a reference to Up, or just a coincidence? The teaser trailer for Wall-e shows that they had the idea for Wall-e almost 15 years before it being made, so was the idea of Up being developed around the time of Toy Story 2?
Answer: It's pretty safe to say that this is purely a coincidence; most sources suggest that the idea for Up was developed in the very early 2000's, at least a couple of years after Toy Story 2 was released. It's possible that the seeds of the idea were in place prior to that, but, regardless, it's highly unlikely that Pixar would put in an intentional reference to a film that would not be released for another decade and would certainly not have been greenlit at the time.
Question: After being asked to go to periscope depth, why would Mancuso bring the Dallas along side of the Red October rather than remain behind him and keep his advantage?
Answer: Everything both captains are doing is a gesture to the other. Ramius keeps his torpedo tube doors closed to show he doesn't want to fight. Mancuso moves along side him as a gesture of trust.
Question: For someone stranded on Mars for several months, Mantee's hair and sideburns seem remarkably well-groomed, even, and trimmed! (He could have cut his hair with his knife, but wouldn't it have looked more shaggy and uneven than it does)?
Answer: In the movie before he discovers his water supply and watches the survival video, he is shown grooming himself and shaving.
Question: When Beetlejuice is trying to talk Lydia into marrying him, he says something like "You can say you're hitched if a bachelor from Valentino comes over". What does he mean?
Answer: He says, "Think of it as a marriage of inconvenience. We both get something. I get out. You get the most eligible bachelor since Valentino." Rudolph Valentino was a famous movie heart-throb who died in 1926 at the age of 31.
Question: The trivia for Toy Story 2 said that Andrew Stanton has a voice in every computer animated film. Who does he voice in this movie?
Answer: IMDb just says additional voices, nothing specific.
Question: The trivia for Toy Story 2 said that Andrew Stanton has a voice in every computer animated film. Who does he voice in this movie?
Answer: He voices Fred, the incredibly rusty car that appears at both races, in both cases being very happy that somebody famous knows his name (having in fact read it from his licence plate).
Question: When Al is talking to the Japanese man on the phone, he ends the phone call with "Don't touch my mustache." What does he mean by this? Is this a Japanese term that sounds like don't touch my mustache? (Similar to when everybody yells "have a paper bag!" at Harryhausen's in Monster's Inc?)
Answer: "Douitashimashite" is the Japanese word for You're welcome. Phonetically, it sounds like "Don't touch my mustache." It's how we were taught to say it while living in Japan in the military. If you say it fast enough, you can sound like you are pronouncing the word decently enough (although clearly not THAT accurately.)
Question: Someone else submitted a question about a falling cow being put in one scene, and they were told that someone was probably just joking with them. I've also heard that rumor, before ever finding this site, so I'm wondering if anyone else knows whether a cow was really put in the background of any scene.
Answer: No. It is not true. There is an urban myth surrounding a falling cow sinking a Japanese trawler, but is complete non-sense. I think you have been misinformed by someone getting the stories mixed up. Check out http://www.snopes.com/critters/farce/cowtao.asp.for more info about the falling cow.
Answer: In one of the sinking scenes you see a person falling from the ship into the water in the foreground. It happens very quickly and right in front of the camera but it's definitely a person.

Answer: It's not out of the question, but it's more likely that both characters are simply examples of the classic insecure character.
