Question: When Chessy finds out Hallie is really Annie, she says she was about 7lbs and 21 inches long when she was born. That is NOT a small baby. Is it possible to have twins that big? I know twins usually come early and are very small.

Answer: While you're quite correct that twins generally weigh less than single-birth babies, there have been recorded cases of twins being born where both babies exceed the weight stated in the movie by some margin; the heaviest recorded case occurred in Arkansas in 1927, where the twins had a combined weight of an astonishing 27 pounds 12 ounces. A birth weight of seven pounds for a twin is entirely plausible.

Answer: Actually, Chessy says "6 lbs. 11 oz."

Question: Why are the Confederates in Mexico using the Confederate Battle flag and not the "official" Confederate Flag?

Noman

Answer: Because as far as they were concerned the battle was not over, the South would rise again.

Question: When Peter meets up with Gwen after Uncle Ben leaves the school, what does he mean when he says he got "community service"? Does he mean Uncle Ben's request to pick up Aunt May or replying to Gwen's answer of getting expelled?

Answer: He was replying to Gwen's question about being expelled. He didn't get expelled and the school wasn't going to make him pay for the broken backboard, but instead gave him community service, as a way of paying for the backboard and punishment.

Bishop73

Answer: He's telling Gwen that he's been grounded.

How? Peter doesn't tell Gwen that he's "grounded" nor did Uncle Ben tell Peter he's "grounded".

Cody Fairless-Lee

Community Service was probably a way of saying that Peter was grounded.

Question: Would Bryan just have left the country with Kim (possibly using his CIA connections)? He had torn up Paris in the space of 2 and a half days and killed countless people. He may have gotten away with that when employed on CIA business but in the movie, he's basically just breaking the law. Seems if he took Kim to hospital, questions would be asked and he would be arrested (not to mention shooting Jean-Claude's wife and assaulting him). Yet Kim looks cleaned up, etc.

The_Iceman

Chosen answer: Bryan may not have taken Kim to a hospital in Paris. We also saw earlier that he has some medical training and was able to help the other girl who had been drugged. Bryan likely has many connections who could help get him and Kim get out the country quickly, and he has enough knowledge about police and government corruption that he could spill to the press. Most likely the authorities wanted him gone as quickly as possible to avoid a public scandal and would do little to prevent his leaving.

Question: What would have eventually happened to Marko after Bryan left him in the basement? Would he just have died and continued to have current surge through him till someone found him? Would he eventually burst in to flames? Would his heart explode? I know he dies, that much is obvious. Just curious as to what happens in the longer term.

The_Iceman

Chosen answer: Depends on how much current is actually running through him. Since it didn't kill him right away, even after a few jolts to get him to talk, it's unlikely it was enough that he would ever burst into flames or that his heart would explode. Most likely, he just slowly cooked until he dried up and burnt like a turkey left too long in the oven.

Phixius

Question: I know it's not important because the movie would be very short and boring, but there's something I've always wondered. What would have happened to the Terminator had he actually managed to kill Sarah Conner?

The_Iceman

Chosen answer: Since terminators cannot self-terminate, only one very likely possibility comes to mind: it would have hidden itself away somewhere known to have remained undisturbed in the years between the termination of Sarah Connor and the start of the war, at which point it would rejoin the war effort.

Phixius

Answer: Skynet knew nothing about Sarah Connor besides what city she was in in 1984 and that she had a pre war leg injury which they could use as a form of identification. However this injury only occurred in the factory at the end of the movie which would mean the terminator would have no way of identifying the real sarah connor before that time. The terminator therefore could've never completed its mission with 100% certainty because it had no idea what she actually looked like, therefore it may have just carried on hunting out Sarah Connors to increase the chances of getting the right one if it was still in good enough condition to move around unnoticed.

Answer: According to the official novelization, the Terminator looked for a specific injury that the Sarah Connor in question had, in order to insure that she was indeed the Sarah Connor that would give birth to John Connor. If any of the Sarah Connors that he killed didn't have that injury, then he knew that none of them were the Sarah Connor that he was looking for, and would move on to the next one. At the end of the novelization, it is revealed that Sarah Connor got the injury during her final battle with the Terminator, meaning that previous time travel loops had already happened that we didn't see or read about (alternatively the events in the first Terminator film are a causal loop that always happened). Since the Terminator wasn't aware that Sarah didn't have the injury at this point in time, this would mean that he would continue to search the world for other Sarah Connors after killing her. It's a piece of horror that unfortunately was cut from the film.

Question: In the scene when John is telling the Terminator all about his mother (just after he finds out about his foster parents) he says she "was with this crazy ex-green beret guy, running guns." Is he talking about Enrique, the guy the three of them go to who gives them the truck? I've always wondered who he was to Sarah.

The_Iceman

Chosen answer: It cold have been him or someone else. He did say "She'd shack up with anybody she could learn from so she could teach me how to be this great military leader." Enrique seems to be more interested in having the guns than selling them.

Captain Defenestrator

Answer: In one scene that was never filmed, Sarah, Terminator, and John went to see this guy named Gant at his ranch, and that was the Green Beret. It was never filmed, only storyboarded. The T-1000 did catch up and killed Gant posing as his wife with a spike to the gut in a later scene.

Question: Why did Leonidas spit out his drink after the announcer said the tough go antiquing?

Answer: He was surprised by the announcer's statement.

MasterOfAll

Question: I understand what "If you build it, he will come" and "Ease his pain" both mean but what did the voice mean when he said "Go the distance"?

Answer: The Voice meant don't give up, no matter how bad things get.

Answer: I think it meant to push yourself beyond your boundary. Do thing where you normally would not, like going far when you would be more comfortable nearby.

Answer: It wanted him to go to where Archibald Graham lived.

Phixius

Answer: He was poking around the castle and by chance found Anna.

Answer: He was trying to find out what happened to frozen water when it gets warm.

Question: After the saber-tooth squirrel named Scrat was eaten by a shark, how did he get out of it?

Answer: Because he is a survivor and this is a cartoon. There were plenty of other times through the series scrat was put in a deadly situation only to return later. In the first movie alone he was trampled by a dinosaur, electrocuted with a lightning bolt, and frozen in ice until he thawed near the volcano thousands of years later.

oddy knocky

Answer: She is crying because Simon is back in her life. And she knows that the only reason for that would be that her hypnosis worked. She reads the article and she knows what he has done, even though he isn't aware of it. As we see later in the movie he was not really a nice guy, especially not to her.

Question: Is there a reason why John McClane's previous exploits aren't mentioned in this film? He is known, and mentioned for his association with, Nakatomi in DH2 and for Dulles airport and Nakatomi in DH3 but in this one, none of his past "adventures" are mentioned bar a couple of subtle almost hidden quotes (eg. the agent Johnson scene). Is this due to any kind of copyright thing or ownership issues between the films or just that they weren't mentioned by any characters? Just seems strange to me that the previous exploits aren't talked about even a little bit.

The_Iceman

Chosen answer: The screenwriters probably felt it was unnecessary to keep rehashing the same old information in every film. It becomes tedious and stale to an audience that is already familiar with the franchise's story line. For anyone who has not seen the previous movies, it would probably be meaningless.

Question: When someone dies in the dome, the body is taken away by a hovercraft. At the end, Katniss' body is taken by what seems the same hovercraft, which can do this because the dome collapsed. If so, how can the hovercraft enter the dome in the earlier scenes?

Answer: It is not the same hovercraft. It is one that was either stolen or otherwise obtained by the growing rebellion faction that had planned Katniss' rescue. For the other hovercraft that have regularly retrieved the dead tributes, it can be assumed that one is already stationed inside the arena for this purpose or there is an entryway into the dome that one can fly in and out of.

Question: Who played Al Dutcher? He was the bank robber in the clown mask who was killed in the first few minutes.

Answer: The Internet Movie Database lists actor-stuntman Fred Scheiwiller as the cast member who played Al Dutcher. Scheiwiller had a fairly impressive filmography as a supporting actor before his death in 2001. http://m.imdb.com/title/tt0069865/fullcredits/cast.

Charles Austin Miller

Question: Julie starts getting "stuff" in the mail from her readers. But when you do a blog, you wouldn't put your address in there, would you?

kh1616

Chosen answer: It's entirely possible that she got a PO Box, which would allow her to receive goodies and keep her address private at the same time.

Question: When reaching Elsa's ice palace, Anna asks Kristoff and Olaf to wait outside the palace while she goes in to find her sister. Yet, Olaf follows Anna in to meet the Snow Queen, and then Kristoff comes to defend Anna as Elsa strikes her in the heart with her magic. While Kristoff and Olaf were supposed to wait at the front door, Anna and Olaf follow Elsa up the stairs and into another room. How did Kristoff figure what might happen in that room? Why doesn't Kristoff or Olaf wait at the front door like Anna asked them to anyway? Also, when Kristoff tells Anna not to throw a snowball at the snow monster, why does she act calm and suddenly do the opposite of what Kristoff says?

Answer: Olaf follows Anna into the castle because a) the minute he agreed to wait was over, and Olaf takes things LITERALLY, b) he was eager to meet Elsa, his creator, in person (hell, who wouldn't) ? c) he's a very impulsive person and probably just acted on impulse. Kristoff went into the castle mainly out of concern for Anna - a lot of people are just not quite convinced Elsa would never hurt her sister. Besides, people tend to not obey orders but act on their free will. Snowmonster snow fight: Anna acts calmly so that Kristoff will let her go, convincing him she won't throw the snowball and taking the first chance to do so anyway.

Question: Which one of the lord's ships do the triplets stow away on?

Answer: Based on the fact that the ship they are on is in the middle and Lord Macintosh's ship was in the middle, it's fair to say they were on Lord Macintosh's ship.

Question: Why did Bilbo decide to leave the Shire?

Answer: His exposure to the Ring kept him looking young, but he still felt very old. He knew he was reaching the end of his life and he wanted one more small adventure before he was too weary to have one. So he set out for Rivendell to spend his days a guest in the House of Elrond.

Phixius

Question: Where did that engine comes from which causes Donnie's death? If he had returned the engine to the PU than how could the plane crash when his sister and mother were still in their room? And Just Before Donnie died why did he laugh? Was it because of his awareness of what's gonna happen in the future?

Towhid Chowdhury Faiaz

Chosen answer: His mother and sister didn't need to be on the plane for it to crash and the engine traveled back in time regardless of whether Donnie was in his room or not. But by staying in his room to die, Donnie saved his mother's and sister's lives since they cancelled their trip on account of his death, and prevented many other deaths. The one downside seems to be that the child pornographer would remain uncaught, but 10 days after the PU is restored, he commits suicide by shooting himself in the head.
