Will Friedle revealed on the Pod Meets World podcast that he actually kept the pictures used for the filming of this scene and found them in his childhood bedroom ahead of discussing the episode.

Trivia: "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" - the novel on which season 1 is based - is actually significantly shorter than the season in terms of storytelling. In fact, roughly half the events described in the novel take place in the very first episode.

Trivia: Rider Strong revealed that his hair had to be straightened for Shawn's signature hairstyle, as his hair is more wavy in real life. He also stated that he got the look when, ahead of auditioning for the Boy Meets World pilot, Marla Sokoloff, Larisa Oleynik and a couple other girls that lived in the same complex as him decided to "take over his hair," which he believes was to make him look similar to Christian Slater.

Trivia: According to the Pod Meets World podcast, it was thought that one of the reasons that Minkus was dropped from the show after season 1 was because ABC already had a hugely popular nerd character in their TGIF lineup with Steve Urkel, and they didn't want to have an Urkel 2.0. Minkus actor Lee Norris revealed he was in the room when the decision was made, and it was because they were going to age up the child characters closer to their actual ages, and his short stature was problematic.

Trivia: Tim Allen has expressed a desire for the show to have a revival. However, instead of consisting of numerous episodes like other sitcom revivals have done, it would be a one-off one or two-hour special. The idea of a movie has also been floated. The opening would see the characters attending Wilson's funeral, as Earl Hindman, who played Wilson, died in 2003. The final season of Allen's other popular sitcom, Last Man Standing, confirmed Wilson's death.

Trivia: According to the Pod Meets World podcast, the ethnic slur that Linda is called was originally in the episode's script. Ben Savage had never heard the word before and mispronounced it at the table read. The slur was ultimately removed from the script, likely at the request of the studio, though the different ethnic slur directed towards Shawn strangely made into the episode. Cory later mispronounces "antisemitism" later in the episode, and Will Friedle pondered that Ben's mispronounciation of the Asian slur at the table read was the reason for that.

Trivia: According to Chadwick Boseman's family, Marvel had his blessing to recast the role of T'Challa. However, Marvel decided to retire the character instead to honor his legacy.

Trivia: Agent Woo is fascinated by Scott's sleight-of-hand magic trick with the playing card and is shown attempting to learn it himself. Woo next appears in WandaVision, and we see that he has eventually perfected the trick, as seen when he hands out his business card.

Trivia: Jamie Foxx apparently didn't know that Tobey Maguire's and Andrew Garfield's returns were meant to be a secret, and he nearly spoiled it by taking a picture of the two together with Tom Holland and posting it on Instagram before a crewmember stopped him.

Trivia: After kissing Cory, Topanga reveals it's her first kiss. This was also true for Danielle Fishel. They did not rehearse the kiss, and she admits to having been extremely nervous to film it. She also revealed Ben Savage was extremely nervous about filming the kiss to the point that he didn't want their lips to touch, which is why his lips are tucked in afterwards.
