Deliberate mistake: In the Extended Edition, the location of the Tomb of the Stewards is shown to be behind the city of Minis Tirith, at the cemetery on the mountainside, accessible via a long bridge. Flaming Denethor later runs to the far prow of the city, leaps off and plummets. The distance between the two areas makes it is obviously entirely impossible for someone, even adrenaline charged Denethor, to run this distance while his oiled flesh burns. Admitted on the commentary that it's poetic license, due to director Peter Jackson's long awaited vision for this dramatic shot. (00:13:15 - 00:30:50)

Deliberate mistake: When Harry drops the Monster Book of Monsters, in the first shot facing Harry's feet as the book chomps at him, he runs backwards a few steps and he stands at the foot of the bed. However, in the shot facing the fireplace, there is actually plenty of floorspace now, much more than other shots, between the rug and bed for Harry to continue to run backwards. (00:15:15)

Peter Pan (2003)

Deliberate mistake: As the Darlings and the Lost Boys laugh in the nursery, the narrator says, "There could not have been a lovelier sight...except a strange boy who was staring in at the window." When the camera pans out through the window Peter's back is visible at the right of the window. This is not Jeremy Sumpter. (01:40:00)

Peter Pan (2003)

Deliberate mistake: After Hook orders the crew into the rigging, Peter lands on deck holding Wendy. There is a close-up of Hook's face as he walks back down the stairs, then the next wide shot of Cookson, the very tall pirate up in the rigging, is flipped. (The shot before he points the gun.) Peter Pan (2003)

Deliberate mistake: After Aunt Millicent checks on the sleeping children, in the shot outside the bedroom, she is startled by her true shadow on the lit area of wall. The position, shape and angle of that area of light, in which the shadow is visible on the wall, is a deliberate exaggeration, not withstanding the fact that Peter, just moments earlier, approached the drawer with his shadow in this same area and yet there was no patch of light. Memento (2000)

Deliberate mistake: When Leonard takes the photo of his newly acquired Jaguar, the car's hood is parked right up in front of the shrubbery and its shadow is in front, at the hood, seen when Teddy arrived. The actual photo of Leonard's 'new' Jaguar shows it to be nowhere near any shrubs and its large shadow is cast on its right side. (00:03:25 - 01:40:55)

Memento (2000)

Memento mistake picture

Deliberate mistake: When Natalie writes the 'Dodd' note at her home, it just reads, "Dodd, MonteRest Inn on 5th St., room 6, put him onto Teddy..." However when Leonard reads the note in the car and at the motel, the note now reads, "Dodd, white guy, 6'2", blonde, MonteRest Inn on 5th St..." (00:50:00 - 01:12:15)

Memento (2000)

Deliberate mistake: The reminder note that said, "City Grill Main St. today 1:00pm meet Natalie for info.," which Natalie wrote on a pharmacy bag, is seen in Leonard's hand at the Discount Inn just before he goes to meet her at the City Grill and in her bedroom when she writes and hands it to Leonard. The words on the bag are written differently, particularly the words "1:00pm meet Natalie for info." (00:26:15 - 00:30:35)

Memento mistake picture

Deliberate mistake: Leonard shows up at Natalie's door and shows her the picture of Dodd. However when Leonard actually takes that photo of Dodd, not only does his face differ, the blood on his face differs from the photograph as well. (00:32:55 - 00:47:40)

Memento (2000)

Deliberate mistake: In Natalie's bedroom, as Leonard is dressing, she sits at her vanity table, picks up a bright red hair pick and pulls her hair up with it. Just before kissing him, in the shot facing Leonard, the pick in her hair is lavender. (00:29:20 - 00:30:45)

Memento (2000)

Deliberate mistake: On the back of Natalie's photo the words, "She has also lost someone she will help you out of pity" differ. First, going into the restaurant, second, while in Natalie's bedroom and third, when he writes it at her house. (00:29:50 - 00:38:50)

Memento (2000)

Deliberate mistake: At the start of the film, when it's shown in reverse that Teddy lifts his head off the floor and his glasses rise up towards his face, in this particular shot it is very apparent that it is NOT Joe Pantoliano, who plays Teddy, that lifts his head off the tile. (00:02:25)

Memento (2000)

Deliberate mistake: In room 304 Leonard takes the papers that Natalie gave him out of the paper bag, he turns the bag over and written on the bag is "For Leonard from Natalie" with a line drawn underneath the words, It is written completely differently than when it was seen earlier as the waiter at the diner gives the bag to him when he came out of the restroom. (00:11:45 - 00:12:50)

Deliberate mistake: After entering the Tower of Cirith Ungol, Sam runs down a passageway and looks up and in the next shot he starts to run up the stairs. These two shots are flipped as things on his body are backwards. (02:20:10)

Peter Pan (2003)

Deliberate mistake: The shot just after Smee jumps overboard, is a close-up of Peter's hand twirling his sword in mid-air and grasping the hilt with his left hand. It's not really his left hand though, this shot is flipped. (01:24:50)

Peter Pan (2003)

Deliberate mistake: After Peter says, "We can't both have her lady," he shuts the window from the outside and the bottom pane is placed on the outside of the top stained glass pane. This is obviously done specifically for this shot so Peter would be able to shut the window and try to keep the Darlings from opening it. However, in the next shot as the Darlings succeed in opening the 'stuck' window, the bottom pane is on the inside of the top stained glass pane. (00:02:05 - 00:58:45)

Blind Date (1987)

Deliberate mistake: David and Walter start to fight in the bedroom at the home of the party. In the next shot as they have locked onto each other, they crash through the glass doors and as they reach the banister they actually let go of each other, face outward and do a lovely professional stunt double flip. In the next shot, the stunt men crash onto the table and in the last shot it's back to the actors again. (00:55:00)
