Other mistake: When Amy goes to the cabin at the end (where she gets killed) she is looking for Mort. She calls out for the dog (Chico). Wasn't she told earlier that Shooter killed Chico? (01:22:00)

The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
Revealing mistake: Naomi opens her legs in their daughter's room and tells Jordan she's not wearing panties, but she's actually wearing some, as we can see in a shot seconds later.
Suggested correction: She is teasing him, goading him, trying to make him find out for himself whether she is going commando or not.

Spider-Man (1994)
Secret Wars, Chapter 3: Doom - S5-E11
Other mistake: This series is in the same continuity as the other Marvel animated series from around the same time - X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, and Fantastic Four - by virtue of each aforementioned show crossing over with at least one of the others. However, in Fantastic Four, Dr. Doom had a German accent, and in this episode he has a Russian accent.
Suggested correction: It was a part of the character's redesign. The writer of Spider-Man, John Semper Jr, disliked the Fantastic Four cartoon to the point that he not only changed characters' designs but their voice actors as well.

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994)
Plot hole: Einhorn's plan had a flaw. No starting quarterback ever holds the ball in any game for the kicker, it's always the back up.
Suggested correction: This is straight up false. Tony Romo was the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys in a playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks in 2006. He held the ball for a potential game winning field goal, but he bobbled it, and it ended up costing the Cowboys the game. This was already corrected, so I'm not sure why you felt the need to submit it again.
It should be noted that Tony Romo was not starting QB that year. He was the backup QB, until week 7, and his duties as backup was holding the snap. He just kept doing that job to keep the rhythm. Marino was never a backup. Of course, the premises is Ray Finkle (a non existent player) missed a game winning kick in Super Bowl XVII when in fact the Dolphins lost by 10 and Dolphins only attempted 1 FG in the game (and made it, despite Marino not holding the kick), so there's room for a lot a leeway in what the film can have Marino do since they already made up so much to start with.
Sorry I just forgot I'd submitted before, I apologize for this blunder.

From Hell (2001)
Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, three people suddenly appear at the bottom of the screen, in the middle of the road.
Suggested correction: This is too vague. The opening scene is (what appears to be) a single tracking shot that moves along several different roads. At no point did I see any characters suddenly appearing at the bottom of the screen in the middle of the road. Even the characters that were digitally inserted into the far background when "London, 1888" appears onscreen are there the entire time the shot is on them.

Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Revealing mistake: When Peter returns to his old life and walks on the notes of "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head", at a certain point he stumbles and behind him some people look at the camera.
Suggested correction: They are looking in the direction of the camera. It doesn't necessarily mean they are looking at the camera. They could just as well be looking at Peter since he stumbled and fell, which is a pretty normal thing for people to do when someone falls down.
Actually people behind him keeps watching even when Peter restarts to walk normally. I think if they were really watching just him, they would have looked away immediately as he got to his feet.

Home Alone (1990)
Corrected entry: If the water Kevin poured on the steps froze almost instantly, it would be too cold outside for the tar he put on some steps to still be soft and sticky enough to adhere to Marvin's feet.
Correction: The tarred steps are inside the house, in the basement. The temperature outside is irrelevant as far as they are concerned.
I was thinking it was done outside in the dark. Now I'd question if tar would stay that sticky - even inside a basement. When the temperature outside is below freezing, my basement is relatively cold.

The Town (2010)
Factual error: When talking about the planned robbery of Fenway, the florist mentions a four-game series with New York. However, later the crew is in a bar and a clip of the baseball game is being shown on the television. The game being shown is against Toronto. Since this scene is supposed to be just prior to the heist, one would expect the visiting team to be the Yankees, not the Blue Jays.
Suggested correction: There's nothing to indicate the clip in the bar is from a current game. Sports networks often show classic games in repeats.
Give me a break, they screwed that up.
Suggested correction: A robbery of that size and risk would require several days of planning and preparation. Doug and Jem probably went to the park during the series against Toronto to scope the place out, and the planning and preparation continued until the end of the series with the Yankees when the robbery occurred.
Suggested correction: There is no indication on what day it is. It's possible that it's Wednesday before 4 days. Or it's Thursday making the series get played on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday.

Arachnophobia (1990)
Continuity mistake: After Becky's dad comes into the bathroom, and she screams, covering herself with the shower curtain, you can see her brother, who had died at the football game considerably earlier in the movie, through the bathroom's doorway, standing in the hall. It's only for a split-second, but as long as you're looking in the right spot, it's very clear.

The Town (2010)
Corrected entry: There is no such company as "Boston Ambulance" (as seen on the ambulance and uniforms in the park scene). The city is serviced by Boston EMS, which also doesn't use any of the converted van-style ambulances.
Correction: Because this is a fictional film, and not being billed as a documentary, I don't see how this qualifies as a mistake. In the Boston of the movie, Boston Ambulance IS a company, and it doesn't change throughout the film.
Are there any mistakes that couldn't be excused by the movie taking place in a fictional world?
Yes, and it depends entirely on the type of world a given movie is set in. This movie is set in the real world, and in the real world, a company called Boston Ambulance could in fact exist. Therefore, artistic license dictates that this isn't a mistake. If this same movie showed the sun rising in the west and setting in the east, that would be a mistake, because despite being a work of fiction, it is contrary to the real-world setting the film establishes.
The flower shop in Charlestown isn't real either, does that make it a mistake? There are fictional companies and people in all movies, that doesn't make them mistakes.

Dark Phoenix (2019)
Plot hole: There are two timelines in the X-Men franchise - the original films and the prequels, up until Days of Future past, which alters the future, and at the end reveals that Jean Grey, Professor X and Cyclops are all alive, rather than dying as they did in X-Men 3. The "new" timeline is then followed in Apocalypse and this movie, giving them a bit of leeway to make changes, much like the new Star Trek movies. Only problem is...Jean Grey dies in this movie! So no way her older self can be around in DoFP.
Suggested correction: I think you might have missed the final shot in the movie, when the camera pans up from Charles and Erik playing chess and the Phoenix firebird is shown flying across the sky/stratosphere, implying that, much like the Phoenix's legendary namesake, Jean had risen from the ashes so to speak. There is precedent for this in the comics, plus there were supposed to be more X-Men movies after this one until the Disney/Fox merger happened.
Yes, but she even said she evolved beyond earth, so that is basically saying that she died. Or she isn't on earth anymore.
Suggested correction: Bryan Singer confirmed that the end of Days of Future Past with Jean Grey being alive is one of many timelines, there are more than 2 timelines in this universe, meaning that despite all the X-Men being alive in the future at the of Days of Future Past, they can still all die in other movies like in Logan and Dark Phoenix.

Spider-Man (1994)
Corrected entry: Spider-Man should've recognized Black Cat as Felicia Hardy since she doesn't disguise her voice.
Correction: This is a common trope in superhero stories and falls under suspension of disbelief. Spider-Man doesn't disguise his voice either, but no-one he also knows as Peter Parker recognizes it's him. Clark Kent's disguise is nothing more than a pair of glasses, but it fools everybody. Batman's lower half of his face is visible and people should also be able to deduce that being Batman would require a lot of wealth, in addition to recognizing that Robin is actually Bruce Wayne's ward since he only covers his eyes, etc.

Corrected entry: They never explain what the inside of the sentinels are actually made of. Trask just says there's not an ounce of metal on them. If there is absolutely no metal, what is used in place of wiring?
Correction: This isn't a plot hole, it's a question. A film or show not explaining how made up technology works, or what it's made of, is never a plot hole. It's only a plot hole if there's a contradiction for the sake of the plot.
