Continuity mistake: After Costigan comes out of jail he visits an old lady. From a front shot she is slightly leaning, her left hand unseen. From a back shot the left hand is standing out over his shoulder with a burning cigarette. It should have been visible from the opposite shot at first.

Continuity mistake: After the rugby game, Sullivan turns to his right to insult the other team. From a different angle he is making a left turn.

Continuity mistake: When Costello is getting his money in the diner, young Sullivan is first sitting next to some packages on the right of the screen , but a shot later, when he stands up holding a brown paper bag, he is seen sitting next to to an empty seat.

Continuity mistake: After the rugby game, when Sullivan turns around to insult the other team, there's a guy with a light blue shirt that steps ahead of another one with a dark blue shirt. A second later their positions swap.

Continuity mistake: When young Sullivan is at Mass, a priest is swinging the smoking incense burning. In the next shot the smoke is gone, and he is away, arriving with the burner and repeating the previous movement.

Continuity mistake: From the wide shots, the black stripe on the side of the oil tanker is 12 to 15 meters wide, but on the close-up of evil Superman destroying the tanker shows it's thinned to barely a couple meters wide.

Continuity mistake: When Elora is floating down the river, the close shots show her head standing out of the bundle, but the close shots don't.

Continuity mistake: After evil Superman makes a hole on the side of the oil tanker, he flies away and we get to see a bird's eye view of the ship. But now the hole is gone.

Continuity mistake: Before the truck is about to fall off the bridge, the blue car in the water moves from a 5 o'clock direction, to a 3 o'clock depending on the shot.

Continuity mistake: After the truck falls off the bridge, before Superman arrives a red truck passes by a green one and keeps on to the other end of the bridge. When the angle changes, a split second later, the red truck is now several feet back, not running and parked next to the green truck.

Continuity mistake: When Halle and her son are finishing the visit to Sean, the front shots show a lot of smoke around Halle's head, which disappears in the following back shots.
