Continuity mistake: After Cal throws Rose's cigarette away, she lowers her hand. Then there's a very brief angle on Molly Brown where Rose is lowering her hand again up to a point where it disappears offscreen. Then a millisecond later it cuts back to Rose and her hand is magically raised and still, no sign of her lowering it, and shortly after she lowers it while Cal extinguishes the cigarette and she places her index finger on the holder. Close-up on Rose and her fingers are in the previous position and she is extending her index finger again to hide the holder. So there's actually 2 mistakes in a lapse of 3 seconds. (00:32:10)

Continuity mistake: When having lunch, Cal takes Rose's cigarette off of her hand and talks with his hand next to his jaw. Depending on the angle, the hand is up or down. (00:32:30)

Continuity mistake: When Rose enters the cabin where Jack is handcuffed, the pillow on the berth behind appears/disappears between shots. The black jacket on the desk and items on the shelf also disappear. (01:55:40)

Continuity mistake: When Rose finds Jack handcuffed, the papers by the corner of the table next to him swap from being white coloured to yellow, plus being on the very edge or not, depending on which angle is shown. (01:55:40)

Continuity mistake: After making love, Jack says to Rose "Don't worry, I'll be all right" and kisses her, sucking the upper part of her lip. When the angle changes, he is sucking the lower part. (01:31:50)

Continuity mistake: When Jack holds the diamond his nails are clean and perfect. When he starts to draw they are ugly cut and dirty, revealing they're somebody else's hands (later known to be director James Cameron's). (01:21:00 - 01:23:30)

Continuity mistake: About to jump off the boat, Rose says "You're crazy" and looks at the sea. A frame later, her head is turned towards Jack. (00:39:10)

Continuity mistake: Rose is attempting to commit suicide and tells Jack to leave. When he says "No", his hair swaps from being all over his face to neatly combed, between shots. (00:38:15)

Continuity mistake: When Rose runs to commit suicide, the people she bumps into disappear in the immediate aerial angle. (00:35:10)

Continuity mistake: Ruth walks to the ship, followed by Rose and Cal. When she is about to enter, the angle cuts and suddenly several women with dogs haven taken her place, followed by a lady who looks nothing like Ruth. Then in the following close-angle the group is meters behind from where they first were, repeating the walk towards the door. (00:22:15)

Continuity mistake: After Rose sees the Titanic, Cal replies "it's 100 feet longer than the Mauretania", with nobody behind him. Right then the angle changes and his chauffeur appears. (00:21:20)

Continuity mistake: Rose steps out of the car, sees the Titanic and says "It's as big as the Mauretania" while she holds her hat. A frame later, from a different angle, her arm is down. (00:21:00)

Continuity mistake: When Ariel peeps in the boat, the end of the boat is a couple of meters to her right. However, after Eric sees the statue and walks towards the hole where she hides, the distance has increased to over 10 meters.

Continuity mistake: When Ariel is peeping on the boat, Max licks her face and you can see that the rope next to the window disappears behind a beam. After Eric sees his statue, the rope is now really long and is laying on the deck, forming a big circle.
