Trivia
This episode's writing credit reads "Paddy Fitz." This was one of many pseudonyms Patrick McGoohan used in writing, directing and producing most of the series himself. "Fitz" was borrowed from his mother's maiden name, Fitzpatrick. See more...
Across whole show
Deliberate "mistake": During the opening credits, when he has resigned, a typewriter is seen to repeatedly put a letter onto the platen. In the next shot, a series of Xs are placed over the Prisoner's picture. The key that is repeatedly pressed is H. (The X key would have come from somewhere near the left of the picture of the keys, not the middle.).
Arrival (season 1, episode 1)
Revealing: Number 6 is supposedly flying the helicopter, trying to escape from the Village. There are shadows from the rotor blades crossing his face as he pilots the aircraft. But look closely at the top of the transparent cockpit bubble over his head: you can see the real copter blades - completely stationary and not moving at all.
