Star Trek: The Next Generation

Code of Honor - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: When Yar is transported back to the ship her weapon was on her left arm. When on the transporter pad the weapon is on her right arm.

Lessons - S6-E19

Other mistake: After Picard joins Cmdr. Darrin in the junction, she kneels down. As she does, the opening down the Jeffries tube can be seen as a flat matte painting. (00:18:09)

The Measure of a Man - S2-E9

Visible crew/equipment: Data tells Maddox that he formally refuses to undergo the procedure, but he supports Maddox's intriguing ongoing work. After Maddox comments that Data is remarkable, Louvois takes note that Maddox referred to Data as "he" instead of "it," and when Louvois walks toward Picard the blue tape mark is visible on the floor where she stands. Super Grover

Genesis - S7-E19

Character mistake: When Data and Picard discover Troi in her bathtub, Data scans her and comments that she is technically no longer "human." While Troi is indeed half human, she has the features of a Betazoid (black eyes and empathic abilities) and consistently describes herself and is described by others as a Betazoid. It is unusual for anyone to describe Troi as being "human", and it is unfathomable that Data would make that mistake.

Emergence - S7-E23

Other mistake: When the ship is at max warp and Geordi states that at maximum warp the ship can only sustain two hours of emergency life support, Data, Troi and Worf are on the holodeck attempting to stop the train, but back in the bridge before they do you can see the view screen in the background and the bridge glass dome above Geordi, Picard and Riker that the ship is not moving at warp speed and is at standstill.

Ensign Ro - S5-E3

Continuity mistake: When Picard is getting his haircut and Riker calls, the apron changes position depending on the shot. Sometimes it fully covers his uniform, other times a part is sticking out.

Bishop73

The Emissary - S2-E20

Continuity mistake: When Data is dealing the cards for 7-card stud, they show him dealing 1 card to everyone. In the close up, he's now dealing everyone a 2nd card. When it cuts to his hands however, everyone only has 1 card and he's dealing them a 2nd card again.

Bishop73

The Royale - S2-E12

Continuity mistake: When Data is first playing Blackjack, his first face up card dealt is a 7, followed by a 5. In the close up when the final card is dealt, the first two cards are now 3 and 2.

Bishop73

The Dauphin - S2-E10

Continuity mistake: When Wesley and Salia are on the holodeck looking at Roseau 5, Salia's left arm is around Wesley's back. In the next shot, both her hands are wrapped around his arm.

Bishop73

Datalore - S1-E13

Character mistake: When the away team transports down to the planet, Data is wearing three full rank pips denoting the rank of a full Commander, rather than his actual rank of Lieutenant Commander. (00:09:39)

The Neutral Zone - S1-E26

Revealing mistake: In the sickbay, the wall where the biobeds are located can be easily seen as a wall used for what would be in the Conference lounge. The alcoves have a fabric covering the windows, and it appeared to be a hastily done redress.

Movie Nut

Hollow Pursuits - S3-E21

Continuity mistake: At the end of Barclay's sword fight on the holodeck, he has the hologram of captain Picard against a wall. When the angle is on the hologram, Barclay's sword is pressed into his chest. However, when the angle is on Barclay, the sword is several inches away from the hologram.

Qpid - S4-E20

Worf: Captain, I must protest. I am not a merry man.

Trivia: Another joke from the set designers: whenever someone is in the Jeffries Tubes, you will see several pipes on the walls labeled "GNDN" this stands for "Goes Nowhere, Does Nothing."

Skin of Evil - S1-E23

Question: Near the end when they are in the holodeck for the memorial ceremony for Lt. Yar, Dr. Crusher's uniform is green and seconds later it is blue. After watching it several times, it does not appear to be a trick of the light. What happened here? Why would she have on a green uniform in the first place?

con8iv

Chosen answer: The uniform does indeed change colour. It may be due to the need for a green screen in part, or perhaps some lighting altering our perception. That being said, it certainly looks green at the start, blue thereafter.

The show has been done in HD now and not sure if they fix this problem.
