Seed of Chucky (2004)

Other mistake: When Tiffany runs behind Redman, it's far too obvious that it's a person in a costume. Tiffany suddenly appears to be nearly a foot taller than she should be.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Other mistake: When the acid falls on Pete Peters, it falls straight down and soaks his entire head, but only dissolves the skin on the left side of his head.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Other mistake: When Tony Gardner's body falls down, not only is it pretty obvious that it's just a dummy due to its unnatural movement, but you can see some "phantom blood" spraying from his lower back on the right side of the screen. (I'm assuming one of the blood tubes broke during the shot.)

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Other mistake: During the opening dream sequence, as Glen begins to walk through the house, you hear it raining outside and can see rain outside the windows, except the front door windows, which show absolutely no rain whatsoever.

Act I - S1-E1

Other mistake: During "My Freeze Ray", there's a shot where Billy, Penny, and several other people open doors to the laundry machines in sequence. When Billy opens the door to his machine, you can see the reflection of everyone else just standing there, waiting for their cue to walk forward.

Saw X (2023)

Other mistake: When John is watching the video of Cecilia on her website, the video progress bar we've seen twice makes no sense. The first time we see it, it's moving far too fast for the length of the video. Later, we see it a second time, and it has seemingly reset back to the beginning despite it being the same video, and again, it's moving way too fast.

Go Fish - S2-E20

Other mistake: After Gage turns into a monster and fights Buffy, the two monsters slide into an open grate. During the shot, there's some sort of weird "glitch" in the background where the garbage can and wall seem to slightly move. All I can assume is that a few frames were trimmed to speed up the shot and it may have exaggerated subtle camera movement, making the background appear to "jump" slightly.

Scream VI (2023)

Other mistake: When Anika falls to her death, as she lands, there's already a moderately-sized puddle of blood beneath her, which makes no sense, as she only just landed that instant. Then, when it cuts immediately to a wider shot about two seconds later, there is suddenly even more blood around her body.

Scream VI (2023)

Other mistake: When Sam and Tara first meet Gale outside, after Gale gets punched, pay attention to the multiple news crews behind her as they start arguing about Gale's book. Randomly, they go from paying attention and recording to suddenly all dispersing and packing up after the shot cuts to Sam and then back to Gale. This makes absolutely no sense. They're all involved in a very famous case; there's no reason every reporter there would suddenly start packing up in the five seconds they were offscreen.

The Mummy (1999)

Other mistake: During the opening action scene, as Rick is firing the pistols after he backs up from the outer wall (shortly before he finds Beni and is locked outside the tomb), pay attention... you can see that many of the extras in the background aren't really doing much of anything even though the two groups are supposedly in battle. A lot of the raiders and doreign legion members are just standing around or aimlessly walking. Only a few of them are (poorly) pretending to "fight." (00:09:50)

Hellraiser (1987)

Other mistake: The film is meant to be set in the US, but there are some odd lines of dialogue that seem to indicate the movie takes place in the England, such as a reference to the (very British) Julia being on her "home turf." This is the result of a change made in post-production, where producers decided to change the setting to the US to make it more marketable to American audiences. Unfortunately, there were some lines about the original English setting that (evidently) couldn't be cut around.

Blade: Trinity (2004)

Other mistake: In the opening fight, right before the title card, Blade fights five vampires. He kicks one, who falls onto the ground and starts to crawl away. He then kills the other four vampires with his weapon (sort-of a blade that's on a line he can whip around). After those four vampires "dust," you see the fifth vampire (the one Blade had kicked earlier) on the ground... and he spontaneously "dusts" for no reason whatsoever. Blade did nothing to him... he just dies for no reason.

Suggested correction: He gets hit by the silver knife on a string (whatever it is called) like the others in 1 swing (there are 5 in total BTW). A small touch seems to be enough to dust them.

lionhead

You are correct there are five (typo), but the last vampire does not get hit by the knife in any way that I can see. Watch this clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LkxaihdyRE Blade swings the knife-line above his head (you can see the line in the entire shot), and there's never any point that I can identify where it hits the vampire on the ground. Blade swings it in an upward motion, and you can see the line goes slack after it hits the last vampire on the left side of screen, implying that it stopped and fell to the ground in that direction.

TedStixon

The blade goes around his head at least twice before it hits the last 2 vampires. I admit that it's unlikely but you can't really see where the blade goes unless you go into slowmotion (if that even shows anything as it's all CGI). It could have hit him at any point.

lionhead

It does go around his head twice and is quite fast, but it is definitely visible throughout the shot (slow mo is not required), and at no point does it go low enough to hit the vampire on the ground. It would need to completely defy all laws of physics to do that.

The Puppet Show - S1-E9

Other mistake: In the very first shot (a long tracking shot backstage), watch the girl practising with her tuba. At one point she pulls her mouth away and then leans back in and starts playing some notes. But you can tell that she isn't blowing into it, and in fact, her mouth isn't even quite touching it. So it shouldn't be producing any notes. Then, almost immediately after, you can also see the actress purposely moving the tuba (sort-of rotating it to her right) to get out of the cameraman's way.

Vulgar (2000)

Other mistake: When Gino gets shot and killed, the gun that shoots him isn't being held at quite the right angle... the way it's aimed, the bullet should have gone to the right of him, but instead he reacts as though he's been hit in the head. (Given it's a super low budget movie, they probably just didn't have enough time or money for a second take).

TedStixon

Other mistake: In the final scene, watch the drummer in the band. He's not making any contact with the drums and is just miming it. Ex. He stops his drumstick about 2" above the cymbal every time he's supposed to hit it, even though you can hear a cymbal in the soundtrack. It's most noticeable when the brand briefly goes into focus as the camera passes between Alex/Lin and Rick/Evie. (He was probably told not to actually drum so the dialogue wouldn't be ruined).

Child's Play (2019)

Other mistake: Andy and his friends are watching "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2" in one scene. However, the scenes they watch are completely out of order compared to the actual film.

TedStixon

Suggested correction: Actually this is simply a movie convention. When kids watch films onscreen, they deliberately only show the best bits of the film as oppose to just playing the film normally. Otherwise it would look dull and pointless.

Gavin Jackson

Explaining why a mistake exists doesn't invalidate them. Skipping time or jump cuts is one thing, showing scenes from a movie kids are watching out of order, without a valid in-film reason, is still a mistake.

Bishop73

Technically no.

Gavin Jackson

The issue isn't that they aren't showing the whole movie. They did the right thing by just showing clips, since it illustrates a passage of time. The issue is that the clips they show are all out of order. (You'll see one from the ending of the movie, then one from the beginning, then another from the ending, then one from the middle, etc.) They could have just as easily shown a couple clips in order from throughout the film, and it would have worked, but they chose not to for some bizarre reason.

Alterations - S1-E7

Other mistake: When Max drives Charmaine to the surgical clinic, watch the background. In the first few shots, they are driving through some sort-of suburban neighborhood if you look out the windows, but suddenly when the camera cuts outside of the car, they're in a parking lot for the clinic, nowhere near the neighborhood they were literally just driving through. There was no time-jump as they are having a continuous conversation through the entire scene.
