Family Guy (1999)

Answer: It's Alan Shearman.

Answer: According to IMDb, it's John Viener.

Amy Emerick Tice

How is that possible? This episode aired in 2001 and Viener didn't join "Family Guy" until 2005.

Bishop73

Viener voiced Stallone in a season 4 episode. According to IMDb, Alan Shearman played him in this episode.

Question: When did Quagmire start hating Brian? In earlier seasons it shows Quagmire and Brian getting along fine but, several seasons later, Quagmire now hates Brian.

Answer: Given how succinctly he nails Brian, we can presume that Quagmire has never liked Brian and has only now put it into words.

Captain Defenestrator

Answer: It's explained in Season 7 Episode 8 that he hates him for his pompous nature, his liberal attitude, his arrogance towards God believing people, and that he see him as a sad, alcoholic, bore.

Rob245

That answers the "why" but not really the "when." Brian's personality didn't really change, so when did Quagmire start hating him?

Bishop73

For all we know, Quagmire might have disliked Brian shortly after they first met. Maybe he kept his feelings to himself for a while, due to his friendships with Peter, Lois, Joe, Cleveland, and others who associate with Brian. There are some people who I dislike, but I don't want unnecessary tension among people who we both know.

Maybe always, but he was too polite to say anything for years. Hey I started hating my mother for her arrogant bigoted attitude when I was 18 but didn't say anything for years.

Answer: Stewie is referencing the kidnapping of Madeleine McCann who was three years old at the time of her disappearance in 2007. She was taken from her bed, in a holiday apartment, at a resort in Portugal. To date, she still remains missing and the case is remains ongoing.

Invader_Gir

This episode aired Jul 10, 2005, almost 2 years before the McCann kidnapping.

Bishop73

My mistake. I did not look at when the episode aired. I have no idea then. That answer made the most sense considering the premise of the joke.

Screwed The Pooch - S3-E13

Question: At the trial, Carter's lawyer asks Brian the star of two films he rented - Brian replies "Pauly Shore" and everyone seems shocked. Is there supposed to be a joke behind this? If so, what does this joke mean?

Chosen answer: They were shocked that anyone would rent movies starring him - he is a bad actor.

Rydersriot87

And what's the connection of that making him a bad dad?

It's just a joke that someone who would make such a bad decision in renting movies couldn't be responsible for making good decisions in raising a kid.

Family Guy (1999)

Correction: When Meg tells her mother she's dressed as a slutty cat, Meg is wearing her eyeglasses and pulls the cat mask down over her glasses, then she leaves the house. We see Meg is still wearing her glasses under her mask when Joe drives past her and her friends, right before they all enter the party.

Super Grover

Correction: Is it not possible that she may have had them in a pocket or somewhere and then put them on when she took the mask off?

dewinela

Her costume had no pockets. It showed her leaving the house without her glasses.

But it did show her leaving with her glasses on.

Some people wear regular clothes under a costume in the event that it might have been cold. Rhode Island might be a bit cold at that time of year (I live in southern Canada and it can be very cold on Halloween) Maybe her glasses were in a pocket under the costume.

dewinela

It seems like you didn't watch the scene before commenting and you're just guessing. She wasn't wearing normal clothes underneath and there were no pockets. The reason the mistake is incorrect is because, as stated, she is wearing them before she pulls her mask down and so she's wearing them under her mask when she leaves.

Suggested correction: It's actually his finger, not his dog tag.

In which case, his tag is missing.

Ssiscool

I agree, it's not his thumb because in the next shot of him in the same position, his tag is now there (or colored correctly) and his thumb isn't seen.

Bishop73

It looks like his thumb.
