Airport (1970)

Other mistake: When the plane is cleared to descend from 6000 feet to 2000 feet at pilot's discretion, we see the plane going down into cloud. The nose wheel is already extended.

Columbo (1971)

Double Exposure - S3-E4

Character mistake: After Columbo disturbs Dr. Kepple and his ball goes in the rough, Kepple says they are playing for rather high stakes. He picks up his ball, looks at it, and places it back on the ground. In a high stakes game, that would be cheating, and the other players would not have tolerated it.

Magnum Force (1973)

Other mistake: Before the shooting, we saw a reflection of the officer in the outside mirror of the limo. The glass is rectangular. The actual mirror of the '73 Cadillac Model 75 had rounded corners.

Mind Over Mayhem - S3-E6

Trivia: In "Etude in Black," season 2, episode 1, Columbo uses the fact that the mileage on the car in the repair shop changes to help solve the crime. In "Mind Over Mayhem," season 3, episode 6, he again uses the mileage change to help solve the crime.

Columbo Likes the Nightlife - S13-E5

Trivia: When Price murders Cohen, he looks like he is revolted by what he has done. This is the only Columbo murderer who feels that way. All the others appeared OK with what they had done. Also, this is the last Columbo episode.

Étude in Black - S2-E1

Other mistake: When Benedict puts his briefcase in the back of the Jaguar, the hatch does not close properly. It is still not closed properly when he picks up the car from the repair shop.

Mayday (2003)

Fanning the Flames - S5-E5

Factual error: The crash took place in 1987. When we hear about the American salvage company that was hired to find the wreckage, we see a scene of traffic in Washington, DC that has a model of Lincoln Town Car that was not produced until 1998.

Phantom Strike - S5-E10

Continuity mistake: Several times we see the Legacy jet from the outside. The windows are square. When we see them from the inside, they are oval. As a matter of fact, no jet has square windows. That mistake was learned with the crash of a de Havilland Comet in 1954. It had square windows which concentrated the strain on the skin of the plane, causing it to fail and crash.

Grantchester (2014)

Episode #8.5 - S8-E5

Other mistake: We are told several times that the "Special Reserve" is kept locked in Mr. Palmer's office. When Anna comes to the bar to "see" it (and put the poison in it), it is in plain sight on the shelf behind the bar, and her husband hands it to her.

Young Sheldon (2017)

Little Green Men and a Fella's Marriage Proposal - S6-E18

Character mistake: When Dr. Bell examines baby Constance, she has the stethoscope in her ears facing backwards. Also, when Sheldon and the professors are looking at the data from the telescope, Dr. Linkletter says "what about that" and Dr. Prakash says "no, that's within the standard deviation." That doesn't make sense.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Not taking anything away from the other correction, but these are two separate mistakes put into one entry.

Bishop73

Suggested correction: If something (telescope data) is within the standard deviation, it is not statistically significant. Dr. Prakash's response would make sense.

KeyZOid

That is not what "standard deviation" means.

A Trace of Murder - S13-E2

Trivia: When Columbo is leaving Kinsley's office, he says, "I set that up for tomorrow. That'll be good. You and me together, Pat. Three eyes are better than one." This is a nod to Peter Falk (Columbo) having only one eye, having lost one to retinoblastoma when he was three years old.
