Seabiscuit (2003)

Plot hole: Immediately after Seabiscuit injures his leg, the track vet tells owner Charles Howard that the horse will never race again. He offers to euthanize Seabiscuit, even though it was not a life-threatening injury. Even if Seabiscuit was unable to race again, a champion racehorse has more value as a stud horse. It is nearly inconceivable that a random vet would suggest this so early on. If anything, it would be "wait and see."

Seabiscuit (2003)

Trivia: Charles Howard (Seabiscuit's owner) married second wife Marcela Zabala Howard. Marcela's sister, Anita Zabala, was already married to Lindsey Howard, Charles' son. Though the movie never mentions it, Charles Howard actually had three sons from his first marriage not just the one who died (who was not as young as depicted in the movie).

Seabiscuit (2003)

Factual error: When Red Pollard is showing the doctor his homemade brace, his bare leg shows no sign of having been nearly severed or undergoing multiple surgeries. There are no scars, atrophied muscles, or discoloration of any kind. In reality, Pollard's leg was permanently disfigured.
