Continuity mistake: When Maggie and "Sharon" are having a picnic in the city park, they have a large wicker picnic basket. After they are done, and are walking home through the park, the picnic basket is no where to be seen. They have apparently just left it behind.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011)
Other mistake: In both the books and the movies, Harry's Invisibility Cloak can always be seen until it is worn. In Diagon Alley, just before the Gringott's break-in, Ron pulls out the cloak to cover Harry and Griphook, but it turns invisible before he puts it on them. Ron merely mimes the motion of covering them.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010)
Continuity mistake: When Hermione apparates herself, Harry, and Ron away from the wedding, she does not have her beaded bag, nor is it on her person when they first appear in London. After ducking into the alley, she suddenly has it in her hand. From then on, she always has it.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010)
Continuity mistake: Near the end, when Hermione jinxes Harry's face to disguise him, she removes his trademark glasses to hide his identity and shoves them into her own pocket. Harry is still without his glasses during the confrontation at Malfoy Manor where his identity remains in doubt (his glasses would give him away). However, as Wormtail (Pettigrew) is taking both Ron and Harry to the cellar, Harry's glasses are suddenly back on his face, even though Hermione was separated from the group.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010)
Revealing mistake: When Harry walks across the frozen pond, both in his shoes and when he is barefoot, there are no footprints left on the ice. The pond is covered with a light snow, that Harry brushes away to see the Sword of Gryffindor beneath the frozen surface. The snow would show any tracks.

The One Where Ross Moves In - S5-E7

Inside Man (2006)
Continuity mistake: Near the end, when Jodie Foster barges in to see Christopher Plummer at the barber, she has a tote bag. She sits in an empty barber chair and places the bag on the floor before speaking to Plummer. As she rises to leave, she picks up the bag, but when the shot cuts to her just as she walked out the door, she is no longer carrying it. Both hands are clearly visible as she buttons her jacket, and the bag is not in either hand, nor is it slung over her wrist or arm. It is simply not there. This particular shot may only be visible in the theatrical and widescreen DVD versions, and not in an edited and "pan and scan" format.

National Velvet (1944)
Revealing mistake: When Velvet and Mi are talking to the jockey in the pub, there is a blackboard behind him listing the menu. However, all the writing is backwards. The film negative apparently got flipped, in this print at least, resulting in a reversed image. This is the only scene where reversed lettering is seen.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010)
Continuity mistake: At the Ministry of Magic, as Yaxley is reprimanding Ron, who is disguised as Reg Cattermole, the initial on Yaxley's Ministry tie pin changes direction. In one shot, the letter "M" is tilted to the left, and in a subsequent shot, it's slanted in the opposite direction.

Trivia: Both Jennifer Grey, who guest-starred as Rachel's friend, Mindy, and Jennifer Aniston (Rachel) played the role of Jeanie Bueller. Grey played it in the feature-length film, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," and Aniston played it on the TV series based on that movie.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)
Revealing mistake: The morning after Ronnie and Roy's big fight, Roy starts cleaning up his clay "sculpture." Before he pulls its upper portion off, you can see the pre-made seam (which is poorly disguised by the clay) where the top is attached to the bottom. When he tears it off, the lower portion is perfectly smooth and flat on top (simulating Devil's Tower) where it was obviously pre-cut.

Sex and the City: The Movie (2008)
Plot hole: While the wedding party is getting ready to leave Charlotte's apartment, Big calls Carrie's cell phone. Lily (Charlotte's young daughter) answers, immediately closes it without speaking, then drops the phone into her purse that she takes with her to the wedding. Big continually calls back, but even though Lily is always with one of her parents, no can hear Carrie's phone is ringing inside Lily's purse. Lily only closed the phone, it was not turned off, the ringer was turned up, and the battery was charged. Lily and Harry rode to the library separately and during the time Big had been trying to call Carrie. Harry should have heard the phone.

Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987)
Question: Are there more than three Star Fleet uniform colors? In the episode where Dr. Crusher is pulled into an alternate dimension aboard the Enterprise, there is an older science officer (not a recurring character) who is wearing a green uniform. When he is next to Dr. Crusher in her blue uniform, the difference is quite noticeable. Red is command, blue is sciences and medical, and gold is engineering, security, and ship services. What would green be for? I've only seen it in this one episode.
Chosen answer: The colors of the uniforms (like the models of the uniforms) change a lot. In the time frame of the original series for example the command color was gold/yellow and red was engineering. In TNG these colors are switched and altered. Also, the blue color for science has been more greenish in other periods of (Star Trek) time. And finally, uniform alterations are, to some extend, accepted (Troy often wears more casual clothing on duty and Worf adds cultural decorations to his uniform. To conclude: the green uniform might be a character's choice or an older type of uniform.

The Godfather (1972)
Continuity mistake: At the restaurant, Michael, Sollozzo, and Captain McCluskey have just sat down at the table and the waiter comes over to take their order and pour wine. McCluskey asks Sollozzo what's good to order, and he recommends the veal. Before the waiter leaves the table, McCluskey is suddenly eating his dinner, even though they just arrived. By the way he is using his knife and fork, it is obvious that he is eating an entree, and not a salad or an appetizer.

Chosen answer: She most likely went to stop the ritual, she probably didn't want her tear to be used by the likes of Blackbeard. She knew that Jack would use it wisely.
