Continuity mistake: When we see the garage trap we see that half the windscreen is smashed away and the other side has a crack through it. However in one shot, the cracks have gone. (00:19:10)

Continuity mistake: When we see Gibson looking at Jill in the interview room we see a tissue lay across Jill's bag. When he walks into the interview room the tissue is now stuck up. (00:11:00)

Continuity mistake: Saw VII takes place straight after Saw VI. In Saw VI we see Jill put Hoffman in the bear trap and leave. We then see that Hoffman spends around 45 seconds trying to get the trap off before putting in the bars on the window. In this film however, just after Jill closes the door we see the glass break. Other mistake: Seth is told that in 30 seconds the pendulum will drop low enough to cut his body and in 60 seconds it will cut him in half. We then see the clock start ticking. After Seth has crushed his hands, we see the clock - 46 seconds have passed and yet the pendulum hasn't cut him yet. (00:04:35)

Continuity mistake: At the very start we see Seth with the collar round his neck, connected by a bolt. When the collar opens at the end of the trap, the bolt has disappeared. (00:02:20)

Factual error: We see Hoffman has to use pliers and force to remove Strahm's hand from the grill. However, since the hand is freshly severed, rigor mortis would not have set in, and he should have been able to remove it with ease. (01:09:30)
