Factual error: At the end it is stated that the building in the desert is creating a noise due to the fuel cells. In actuality fuel cells are silent generators of power.

Factual error: Bolivia has no desert. It has a large highland called altiplano and the world's second largest salt desert. Both look totally different than the landscapes shown in the movie.

Continuity: At the end of "Casino Royale," Bond is wearing a three-piece suit. Although "Quantum of Solace" begins just minutes later, Bond is wearing a completely different, two-piece, suit.

Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Bond is in the old airplane, it cuts to a scene behind Bond, and in the middle of the screen you can see the camera used to film him in another scene.

Revealing: In the roof top chase between Bond and Mitchell, it is obvious that both characters are wearing black running shoes, when in the previous scene both wore smart black suit shoes.

Other: Cars in Bolivia are required to carry both front and rear registration plates. In the movie hardly any of the cars shown have one.

Continuity: After Bond throws Mathis into the dustbin, the blood under Bond's tie is visible however in the next scene (after Bond says 'He wouldn't care') the blood is missing from the shirt.

Factual error: During the film, Bond flies to the airport in Bregenz, Austria. There is no airport in Bregenz.

Continuity: While Greene is talking to his associates in Bregenz, the opera is approaching the end of act one which finishes just as Greene and Bond meet in the hall. However, at this point Mario Cavaradossi is suddenly being shot, which is the end of act three/the end of the opera. At the same time the music jumps to the end of act two, just after Tosca stabbed Scarpia; this scene is then shown while Bond is being chased.

Continuity: At the hotel Greene kicks the axe and cuts his shoe and foot, however, later when Bond drops Greene in the middle of the desert and throws the can of motor oil at his feet, there is no hole in the shoe.

Continuity: As Bond is cradling Mathis after Mathis gets shot by the policemen, the blood on Bond's right hand changes between the long shots and the close ups.

Continuity: When Bond and the Bolivian Secret Agent have crash landed on the dried up river bed, Bond offers her his jacket as she is cold. When the camera cuts to her the first time her hair is tucked under the right collar of the jacket, however all other shots show her hair is on top of the collar.

Continuity: When Bond is talking to Mathis at a table at the cottage in Italy, pay attention to the watch on Mathis' wrist. First it faces the side of his wrist because that way it is best shown on screen, but in the next shot, still at the table, it suddenly faces the outside of his wrist like watches are usually worn.

Continuity: During the scene where Mathis dies in Bond's arms, the position of Mathis' head changes between some of the shots.

Continuity: In the scene on Haiti, before Camille gets on the boat, she talks with Dominic Green and has her hands on his shoulders. But the positions changes between shots from shoulders to upper arm and back again.

Continuity: When Bond is talking to M, his shirt neck is undone (i.e. out of the blazer), then back to tidy, then undone again; all in a space of 30 seconds.

Factual error: The aircraft registration Bond reads over the phone is of a British registered aircraft, shown as starting G-0 then other characters (definitely 0, not the letter O). However, British registrations are always all letters, and wouldn't use the number 0.

Factual error: The Austrian number plates were wrong. The prefix (district) and postfix (number) were changed. correct: e.g. LL (emblem) 123AB; Bond: 123AB (emblem) LL; maybe due to legal issues.

Factual error: James Bond's Aston Martin shown in the opening chase sequence is registered 72 GH3L0, which is meant to be an Italian perspex number plate. Italian plates are always made from aluminium and never show a car logo at the bottom. Furthermore the die face used is wrong and most import: The number does not fit into the Italian registration system: always AA 123AA - hence a completely invented plate is the result.
