Corrected entry: When Morgan Freeman looks at the label on the pill bottle in the mirror, the last name on the label is clearly Mercuzio. Yet he (and all the others standing there) spell it as Mercusio.

Correction: The spelling of 'Mercusio' is reflected in the mirror, making the 's' look like a 'z', hence why 'Mercuzio' is not the correct spelling when the letters are reflected to be the correct way round.

Corrected entry: Right after Megan has been kidnapped, Jezzie says that she has been working at the school for two years. Then a few scenes later, she says three years.

Correction: Actually, when she refered to 2 years, that was the amount of time she worked with Sonjie not nessesarily how long she worked at that school.

Corrected entry: Asking students to find the Charles Lindberg Homepage in the least amount of links is a really stupid question. Charles Lindberg doesn't have a homepage. Actually, there are THOUSANDS of Lindberg sites out there. Go ahead and type "Charles Lindberg" in google. I guarantee you'll find thousands of matches. Which one were the students supposed to find?

Correction: There's an official one: www.charleslindbergh.com.

Corrected entry: In the car crash in the beginning of the movie, the car breaks through some large steel bars on the bridge and ends up hanging down from it. But actually the hole, which the car is supposed to create, is there already! Hint: Run it in slow motion and it's pretty obvious.

Correction: Per the rules of this site, if you have to use slow motion to see something, then it is not a valid mistake.

The contribution says that it's pretty obvious when you watch it in slow motion, not that it is needed to do so. However, having watched the scene, I'd say it's pretty darn necessary to watch it in slo-mo to catch it, indeed, so I agree with the correction.

Corrected entry: When Megan attempt to leave the boat, she places a small set of batteries simaler to the kind used in home phones next to the stove, When they explode, the entire kitchen bursts into flames. What are these batteries made of, Napalm?

Correction: All batteries have a warning on their packaging stating they should be kept away from heat (or flames, for that matter) because they may explode.

Sereenie

Corrected entry: In the scene in the barn, towards the end of the film, Alex shoots Jezzie in the heart. The next camera angle is from behind Jezzie and shows an exit wound between her shoulder blades. Although stood directly in front of her, Alex is firing left handed, and towards the right, so surely the exit wound would be far more likely to be somewhere under Jezzie's right shoulder blade, or even her side?

Correction: It is entirely possible the bullet was deflected off a bone, exiting her back in a different place than expected.

Grumpy Scot

Corrected entry: Towards the end of the film where Jezzie goes to kill Megan, Megan refuses to let her in to where she is being held captive as she is suspicous of Jezzie being there alone with no back up. However, five minutes later, she has no problem accepting Alex (a total stranger) when he waltzes in and grabs her from behind before calmly shooting Jezzie in cold blood.

Correction: She can't exactly do anything but accept him when he is holding her from behind with a gun in his hand.

Corrected entry: Couldn't the bad Secret Service agents have just taken the ransom and then saved the girl and thus be heroes and rich? No one suspected they were involved until the end. If they had saved the girl, suspicion would have been removed altogether.

Correction: Soneji is their scapegoat. If Megan is never found then Soneji is to blame, if she's found dead then he's still to blame, but if she's found alive then they'd have some serious questions to answer, like how they found her.

Corrected entry: Towards the end of the film, Morgan Freeman is trying to guess Monica Potter's password. As he typed it the words came up on the screen. Has anybody out there used a computer like that? Normally they're blanked out for security.

Correction: Sometimes, a password will not be hidden from view.

Corrected entry: When they inspect the dead fisherman they mysteriously find Megan's school sweater. She wasnt wearing it when she jumped overboard, and her clothes weren't thrown in the water. So where did it appear from? (00:47:02)

Correction: The killer may have just thrown this item of clothing into the water as another part of his game.

It's not necessary to invoke the whole "he's crazy and playing games so anything goes" blanket justification here: the original entry is wrong. They do not find the sweater, but the sleeveless vest she was wearing before jumping in water, and that is not on her anymore when Soneji fishes her out.

Factual error: As the kidnapper is watching TV, we hear a news anchor describing the kidnapped child. She is described as 12 years old, 3 ft. 5 in. tall, and 52 pounds. This is the size of a child half this age. A 12 year old of this size would be freakishly small, which this character is not. And as we see her throughout the movie, she is easily approaching 5 feet tall and in the 70 - 80 pound range. (00:13:30)

Gary Soneji: They say that when I die, the case will die. They say it will be like a book I close. But the book, it will never close.

Trivia: After Morgan Freeman shoots the guy with the shotgun, the next scene is outside with the news crew and you will see Morgan Freeman walk by the camera dressed up with dreadlocks and cap and keeps looking at the camera. It's Morgan Freeman playing an extra.

Suggested correction: I agree, it's definitely not Morgan Freeman. If you're talking about the guy in the red knit cap and what looks like a red sweater vest, he doesn't have a mustache and his nose is completely different from Freeman's nose looks like in profile. Without any confirmation from someone from the film (such as a director's commentary) or further evidence, this isn't valid trivia.

Suggested correction: Wow, I find pretty extraordinary that this cameo is not mentioned anywhere else. The guy does look like Morgan Freeman (I am adding a screenshot to the entry), and is not seen anywhere else in the scene, nor Freeman is in the wide shot, so I can't say the entry is false, I just find it quite strange since usually this sort of humorous bit roles get mentioned a lot. Kudos for noticing.

Sammo

That is not Morgan Freeman.

Question: How did Meghan get from the boat to the house?

Answer: There is a man in the house who brings Meghan some food to eat. I think he was the one who took her there.
