Trivia: The family's last name, Parr, was chosen on purpose, as it sounds exactly like the golf term "par" - which means average. This was done as a clever pun to further point out that Bob literally went from an "Incredible" to "Average" when superhero work was banned.
Trivia: The main characters' powers have counterparts in the Marvel and DC comics: Mr. Incredible has super-strength and invulnerability like the Incredible Hulk (though with more brains); Elastigirl is the female version of DC Comic's Elongated Man (or Marvel's Mr. Fantastic); Dash with his power and uniform resembles the Flash; Violet has the basic powers - invisibility and force field generation - like Marvel Comic's Invisible Woman; and Frozone resembles Iceman, at least in the use of his powers.
Trivia: The kid on the tricycle is an inside joke representing the real life personality of John Lasseter, the chief creative officer at both Pixar and Walt Disney Feature Animation. During production of his films, he is usually waiting for something amazing to happen in regards to the animation or special effects, and later (during production) has been heard several times to remark of such amazing results as "totally wicked".
Trivia: Some of the characters in this film bear visible likenesses to other famous villains. Bomb Voyage, the french villain at the beginning, looks almost exactly like the Joker, and the Underminer at the end of the film acts and appears in almost exactly the same way the Mole Man did in the Fantastic Four comic books.
Trivia: When Mr. Incredible grabs robot's mechanical arm in order to make it pierce through its "body" towards the end of the movie, a car very similar to Doc - the supporting character of Pixar's Cars - can be seen in a fast shot in the background on the left.

Chosen answer: If any object can move across the water quickly enough, the weight isn't transferred completely. In some Scandinavian countries, they actually DRIVE very quickly across water in adapted vehicles. If the character of Dash could actually run that fast, it is feasible and possible for him to run on the water's surface.
