Correction: She's wasn't a 5th grader. She was the 5th grade teacher. She's the adult on the far left, 2nd row.
Corrected entry: When Miss Daisy comments on Florine's birthday present for uncle Walter (note paper) she says that he cannot see. Later uncle Walter is able to blow out his candles, visibly aiming at the last one. (00:57:50)
Correction: Being able to see flames on a cake is not the same as being able to see writing on paper.
Corrected entry: When Miss Daisy wrecks her car, the license plate on that car is G-93428. Later you see Hoke walking around the house and it shows a different car with the same license plate. (00:01:35 - 00:15:40)
Correction: In the 1940's license plates in Georgia stayed with the person not the car. You could change the plates over to another car by simply changing the info at the DMV to the new car.

Corrected entry: Miss Daisy is upset that her driver stole a can of salmon. When he arrives at her home for work he has brought a can to replace the one he ate. He then explains to her that he didn't want to eat the left over pork chop. The movie makes a big point of Miss Daisy being Jewish, so why would she have left over pork chops?
Correction: The pork chop was not cooked for Miss Daisy, it was for the cook. Besides the fact that she did not necessarily keep a kosher lifestyle (eating only kosher) nor did she have a kosher kitchen (the pork chop wouldn't have been there in the first place).
The fact that she refers to her service hall as "Temple" rather than a "Synagogue" indicates that she practices Reform Judaism. Many Reform Jews do keep kosher, but a large number of Reform Jews do not. Her non-kosher diet is also indicated when Daisy is going to Alabama to see her family, where they were preparing crab for a special birthday. Crab, along with all other shellfish, is also not kosher.
Jewish people don't keep pork in their homes. Nor serve them to non Jews. They wouldn't purchase them either.
Corrected entry: In the beginning of the ice storm sequence, they show several random shots outside. They show the front porch and there's a big old front porch light blazing away. Kinda hard to do, without power.
Correction: The reason it appears to be "blazing" away is that, upon taking a closer look, you can see it is flickering, indicating an open flame. This would show the viewer that this is a kerosene lamp, or similar type of fuel-burning lamp.
Corrected entry: On their first shopping tour Hoke stops the car in front of a huge coke ad on the wall. When he gets out of the car the coke ad is gone and there are two small posters instead. (00:20:25)

Correction: The large shadow is part of the tow truck. You can see it in a earlier scene, with the two men standing in the same position.
