In the scene where Ace is trying to figure out the Finkle/Einhorn connection there is, what looks like, an air horn on the far end of the table to the right of the dog. A shot or two later when it shows the dog's hair around the picture of Finkle you can see the end of the horn laying right next to the dog on his left side.(This is visible in the screen shot already on the site that shows the dogs hair position changing.). When Ace gets in the club to meet that guy with the long blond hair and the glasses, the death metal band that is playing is Cannibal Corpse and the song is called "Hammer Smashed Face". Jim Carrey is actually a fan of Cannibal Corpse and he insisted on them appearing in the movie since the movie takes place in Florida which is the "capital" of death metal.
In the scene where Ace goes into Einhorn's office to tell her that he's solved the crime and that it's Ray Finkle. In the shot from behind Einhorn, on the desk, to the right, you can see a banana placed between 2 apples. A hint as to Einhorn's true identity?
All football field scenes are shot at the Orange Bowl and not Joe Robbie Stadium (ProPlayer Stadium) where the Dolphins actually play.
Actual members (at the time) of the Miami Dolphins appear during the Isotoner commercial scene, including quarterback Scott Mitchell. The scene features the same gag used in the real life commercials where Marino's teammates (in uniform) pick him up and carry him away.
All the outdoor scenes at Camp's party and the asylum were filmed at the Vizcaya estate in Miami. Watch 'Any Given Sunday' and you'll see much of the same estate.
A note, found in Lt. Einhorn's desk, is dated January 17, which is also Jim Carrey's birthday.
