At the beginning of the movie, during "Provincial Life", we see a fat lady trying on a hat in a hat store. The sign over the window, in French, reads "Chapeau" (hat). The correct way to identify that store would have been "Chapeaux" (hats) or "Chapelier" (hatter). [Lots of stores misspell words, or purposely slightly change their name to make them stand out. Character mistake, if any.]
Philippe has whites in his eyes. It's impossible to see the whites in horses' eyes. [While this holds true with most horses a search on images on the internet proves that it is, indeed, possible to the see the whites of a horses eyes.]

Wolves generally aren't found in the French countryside yet they feature a few times in the film. [That's because they are more or less extinct nowadays, but wasn't always the case. Wolves were feared for centuries and were present through most part of France.]

When the beast changes back into a human at the end, he looks the exact same as in the painting of himself that he destroyed; yet he was meant to have been cursed for 10 years or so, according to Lumiere. His appearance would have changed somewhat in that time. [You are dealing with a magical curse. You cannot predict\prove what would happen when the curse is lifted because it is fantasy.]

The beast is about Belle's age, maybe only a little older; yet in the opening scene where we see him be cursed, he is the same age as he is throughout the rest of the film, 10 years after he had the curse placed on him; in that opening scene telling of his misfortune, he should have been a young boy, not a man. [You are dealing with a magical curse. You cannot predict\prove what would happen when the curse is lifted because it is fantasy.]

After the wolf fight, Belle is seen placing her cape on the Beast. However, the next shot of them going back to the castle shows her wearing the cape again. [Enough time passed for her to change her mind and take the cape back off of the Beast–it probably took a few minutes for her to get Philippe to lie down, then move the Beast onto his back. I think she took it back off because he's much bigger and her cape probably didn't cover him very well.]
One of the signs in the village reads "Le boucherie". In French grammar, "Le" comes before masculine words, and "La" comes before feminine words. "Boucherie" is a feminine word, so the correct French term should be "La boucherie". [The movie makes a point of distinguishing that Belle is the literate one in the village. It's not uncommon for folks (especially commonfolk) to misspell words.]

During the end the clock slides down the stairway. At the end of the stairway is a big post, but he slides right off, never hitting the post. [If you go frame by frame you can see that the banister curves around the post, and so he slides past it and doesn't have the danger of sliding into it.]

When Cogsworth is giving the tour he says 'If I may call your attention to the Flying Buttresses'. Flying Buttresses are supports on the exterior of a building; unless there are very large windows (there are none in the hallway where he is giving the tour), you cannot see them from the inside. [This is a mistake of the character's part, not the filmmakers'. This could have been put in deliberately to illustrate the fact that Cogsworth really isn't as smart as he thinks he is.]
When the beast is waiting for Belle to come for dinner, the doorknob moves. He thinks it's Belle, but it turns out to be Cogsworth. Cogsworth is about ten inches tall- how did he reach the doorknob? [Half the palace is enchanted; who's to say the door isn't?]
In the scene where the Beast has Gaston by the neck over the edge of the castle, the Beast is grasping him with his right hand then in the next shot he has Gaston with his left hand. [The beast has him in his right hand in every shot.]
When the horse Phillipe comes back, Belle is on a grass covered hill far away from the house. When she takes the machine off of Phillipe, the machine is still in the cart and the brown cover is on. Later in the film, when Belle and Maurice are stuck in the cover, Chip sees this machine and it is much closer to the house, the grass on the field is gone, the machine is out of the cart and the cover is no longer there. [Maurice is home after he's released from the Beast's castle and before he returns to try to rescue Belle. He could have moved it.]
During the "Be Our Guest" song, the spoons all jump into a pink dessert and they all have napkins tied around themselves. When they surface again, the napkins are gone. [Right before they jump in, the napkins all come off.]
Even though this movie is set in France, the bald eagle, the grizzly bear, and many other animals that are native to the Americas can be seen in Gaston's bar. [The fact is, in the film the information about where the animals come from is not offered. So, in that case it is possible and entirely plausible that certain animals were hunted for sport and killed elsewhere. Then, the prized stuffed animal carcasses were brought back, and the trophies were mounted on the wall of this tavern.]

At the start of the "Kill the Beast" song, Gaston yells "We will siege to the castle and bring back his head.". One problem: How did he know the beast lives in a castle? No one ever tells him this. [He already knows about the castle. He talks about it in the scene where he pays to have Maurice incarcerated if Belle won't agree to marry him.]
How did the villagers know where to find the Beast's castle? They are obviously not aware of it when Belle tells them about it, and Belle and Maurice are the only people who do know and they are locked up in a cellar. Also, it obviously takes about a day's traveling, as seen when Maurice and Belle come, but they are able to make the journey in about an hour, even though they also have to take the time to chop down and carry a tree. [Gaston still has the magic mirror, which probably helps them find the correct roads to take. Maurice got lost on the way to the castle so it took him a little longer to get there, but it's still not evident that it took either he or Belle more than a few hours to go between the village and the castle. (It's still daytime when the horse returns all the way to the village to find Belle, and she arrives at the castle that night. And later Belle leaves the castle at night and arrives home with her father the same night.)]
The coat the beast is wearing in the painting of himself in human form is much lighter blue when Belle looks at it than it is when the Beast tears it. [It's been a long time, and the paint could have faded or been bleached by the sun.]
When the beast tears the painting of himself at the beginning of the film, the back part of the painting that becomes visible when he tears it is light brown. Later in the film, when Belle sees this painting in the West Wing, this part is light grey. [Paint can actually shift color over the years, if it's for example bleached by sunlight. Such a thing could cause a once brown color to seem grey.]
The first two times the magic mirror is used, we see the background of the place the characters were in (i.e. Belle's room, the forest) but when Belle uses the mirror to show the villagers the beast, there is a white background. Shouldn't we have seen the background of the room he was in (presumably the West Wing)? [How do we know where he was? From the time he tells her to leave and the time the villagers get there, he has also changed out of his dress clothes back into his everyday shirt and cloak. Obviously some time has passed. Presumably he was in a room with white walls or in front of a white drapery when she called on the mirror to show the Beast to the villagers.]
There isn't nearly enough blood coming out of the beast after Gaston stabs him. That was a huge knife, and he got it really deep into the Beast, but very little blood comes out. [It was a kids movie. The creators didn't want kids to see an enormous beast gushing blood after he had just been stabbed. Standard cartoon convention.]
