Marty returns to 1985 and the DeLorian is distroyed by a train. Doc builds a new time machine in 1885 and visits Marty. Doc is married with two sons named Jules and Verne. Marty doesn't race against Needles and thus doesn't crash into the Rolls-Royce, and so he doesn't get into the job that he gets fired from.

Trivia: "Mad Dog" Tannen's actions after shooting Marty are a perfect homage by Thomas F Wilson to Lee Marvin in "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance." He even gets the facial expressions, the mumbled and sarcastic thanks and the jaunty angle with which he holds the gun right.
