Mistakes

Ben, Richie and Beverly go to the movies and after that they go down to the Barrens, where they later meet Bill and a boy named Bradley. In chapter 9, section 5, page 433 in my edition, Beverly meets Eddie, Ben and Bradley. Eddie asks about the movies she saw with Ben and Richie the day before, while Beverly recalls Bradley from having met him a week ago with Bill in the Barrens. So has it been a week or just one night? It - 4 questions

The "questions" section is for any random questions that occurred to you while watching this film, or anything you didn't entirely understand, and which Google or the IMDb can't help with. Submit them as a question, and hopefully someone will answer (the bold comments in brackets) - check back regularly. If the answer is wrong, or missing information, please use the "clarify answer" option. Don't feel limited - want to know what music played in a certain scene? Whether this was the first film to use a certain effect? Here's the place to ask!

Entry This has been submitted before, but the answer is not correct. Richie, Eddie, Beverly, Ben and Bill don't remember anything about each other or the events in Derry. For example Bev's husband reads one of Bill's books and she doesn't recognise the name, and Bill doesn't know who the architect Ben Hanscome is. Why is it that Stan not only recognises Bill's name and remembers him, but also remembers the Turtle? He remembers all of this long before Mike calls. [The longer they're out of Dairy the less they remember about the specific incidents. That doesn't mean they don't remember any of it, just that their memory is dim and they've forgotten large chunks of it. They still remember parts of it in their dreams too.]
Entry Something I've never understood. Why does Stan write IT on the bathroom wall? [That's his suicide note. His wife doesn't know what happened when they were kids, but he most likely assumed that his friends would hear about his suicide and know that couldn't face "IT" again.]
Entry Richie, Eddie, Beverly, Ben and Bill don't remember anything about each other or the events in Derry. For example Bev's husband reads one of Bill's books and she doesn't recognise the name, and Bill doesn't know who the architect Ben Hanscome is. Why is it that Stan not only recognises Bill's name and remembers him, but also remembers the Turtle? [They don't remember each other throughout their lives, but when Mike calls them they have flashbacks and recall each other. They all remember when they're reminded by Mike.]
Entry Why does It leave the picture of Georgie in 1985? The only reason I can think of is to alert the Losers Club, but It doesn't want them to come so that makes no sense. [It does want the Losers to come to Derry. If you remember, Mik tells that by the site of the Bellwood murder, It painted the words "come home, come home, come home", a clear message to the Losers. In the next part (chapter 10, part 5), they also speak about how It would want them back, to exact revenge on them.]
