Continuity mistake: When Amelia is meeting with Fred Noonan at the open aired restaurant in New Guinea, right when Amelia sits down, the waitress repeatedly sets a glass of water in front of Amelia. It happens 3 times.
Continuity mistake: The aircraft used to deliver the pheromone lure to the creatures starts out as a F-15, then after a few shots it becomes a F-18 then back to an F-15 for a few more shots, then back to a F-18 and is finally a F-22 when knocked out of the sky by the giant octopus. Continuity mistake: When he has the car accident, the blood splat from hitting the bird goes from being an eight inch wide bright red smear of just "blood" that is low and centered directly in front of the driver to a four inch circle with chunks that is high and to the left. It is also totally missing while the car is viewed from above before hitting the water. (01:01:15)
Continuity mistake: After the cake is destroyed Jenny is attempting to fix it. As she and Brad are talking, the camera switches angles viewing Jenny from the front and side. In the shot facing her, her hands are covered in cake icing, but in the side view there is little to no cake icing. It is continuous throughout the scene. (01:06:25)
Continuity mistake: When Shawn meets Harvey in the restaurant, he brings in the box of umbrellas which is soaking wet from the rain. When he leaves, the rain has stopped and the box changes from being soaking wet to completely dry to wet again for the rest of the scene.
Continuity mistake: Somewhere during the car chase scene, one of the rear lights of the delivery van breaks. After that it magically fixes itself in some shots.
Continuity mistake: At the start of the movie Dylan Walsh cuts himself shaving and patches it with a piece of tissue, on the side of his jaw. Moments later as he's walking through the house the cut has moved to the corner of his mouth. (00:01:40 - 00:03:35)
Continuity mistake: During the car chase the damages on the car differ in every angle. The copilot door's glass, for example, swaps from being slightly broken, to totally shattered, then perfect, then it's gone, then it's slightly damaged.

Continuity mistake: When Will and SA5M are in CBGB's and SA5M uses her phone to take a picture of them, Sa5m's head and eyes have already turned toward the camera when the picture is taken. However, when the actual picture is shown, SA5M is looking directly at Will.

Continuity mistake: When the butterfly clips are put onto Tommy's head after the fight, the amount of blood on them through the following scenes that night and the next day varies from bloody, to clean, to bloody again, over and over again.
Continuity mistake: Vic is consoling Danny, with his hand round his neck. Towards the end of the scene his hand suddenly jumps to Danny's shoulder.
Continuity mistake: While Nia Vardalos is talking to Richard Dreyfus, just after offering him the ice cream cone, the stains on her jacket's left lapel are either there, almost totally disappear, or change shape.
Continuity mistake: At 41 minutes 45 seconds into the film,the character Anton drops a gun, but in the next shot he still has 2 guns.
Continuity mistake: Tom receives an e-mail from Summer on day (303). At the beginning of the movie we are told that Tom and Summer met on January 8, so day 303 should be November the 6th, but the e-mail says that it was sent on May 7th, which is day 120.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the scene where the SUV crashes in the woods, Sadie is wearing large dangling earrings. In one quick shot where she is seen sitting in the back of the vehicle after the crash, her left earring is missing. It reappears in the next shot.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Cameron Diaz and her husband are talking to the doctor in a flashback, her hair repeatedly goes from behind her shoulders to in front. it is especially obvious when at one point she turns towards her husband and her hair completely changes position.
