Corpse Bride picture Corpse Bride trivia picture

Trivia: A popular film poster shows Emily and Victor reaching their hands toward one another. Emily's bony hand is on her right and Victor's suit and vest are backwards (note its buttons). Some say it was for legal reasons - Johnny Depp's name was supposed to appear on the poster first because of a contract, and they wanted the characters underneath the corresponding star names, hence the issue. Others say it was simply because the picture looked better with the bride on the right side.

Trivia: Never in Oscar Wilde's story was Dorian Gray invincible, as is depicted in the film. Nor did looking upon his picture kill him. Dorian regularly stood in front of the painting, observing the degradation of his soul. He was only killed when he tried to destroy the picture.

Spawn picture

Trivia: At the dinner ceremony where Spawn attacks Wynn and kills Church, you can see a red-headed woman in a blue gown walking among the patrons in the beginning of the scene. The camera focuses on her briefly, but for a reason - look at her earrings. They are Spawn insignia. This is a reference to the angel Hellspawn hunter Angela, who wears those same insignia in the comics as trophies of her victories over previous Hellspawn. Very clever reference.

Trivia: In the beginning of the scene in the Master of Laketown's house, Alfrid tries to empty a chamberpot through the open window. During this, the window half closes, so much of the contents of the chamberpot splash on the inside of the window and windowsill. In the extras of the Extended edition it is told that this happened during the first take, and the scene was reshot many times. Nevertheless, the first take ended up in the final cut. (01:11:35)

Ever After picture

Trivia: After Rodmilla and her daughters leave for the masque, during the next scene at the royal palace a large sculpture can be seen in the courtyard, especially in some closeups from different angles, such as when Gustave approaches Leonardo. This mythologically themed sculpture consists of a tailed figure riding upon one of two creatures holding their reins, with a ship behind them. This sculpture can be seen during the very first scene, albeit with a few changes. When Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm walk into the Grande Dame's chamber she is sitting up in an unusual type of bed. Note the bed's "headboard" and "footboard" are the ship hull (in the fullscreen version the bed's side is visible with its distinctive design), and we also see the creatures (minus their horns) with the rider's arm holding their reins at the foot of the bed. Something else to notice near the end, when Leonardo gifts the young couple the belated wedding present the room they're all in is not in the royal palace, they are in the manor, gathered in the dining room where Marguerite had burned Danielle's book Utopia.
