Other: Season 12, Episode "Blame it on the Rain": At the beginning of the episode, Abby is almost run over by a man driving an SUV. They exchange words and then Abby throws a supposedly full cup of coffee at him. The cup of coffee bounces off the seat of the man's car and it is obvious that the cup is empty.

Mistakes
The kid from the car accident has had an orthopedic device called a halo put onto his head in order to immobilize his head and injured spine. This item is screwed directly into the skull and is very secure. However, when the doctors are giving the boy CPR, the halo stays stationary but the child's head moves back and forth inside of it. The halo should have kept his head still, or his head would have moved only if the halo moved. See more...
Trivia
If anything had gone wrong during the broadcast of the live episode, e.g. a technical failure or forgotten dialogue; the producers had additional actors ready to improvise a scene that would have been inserted to cover. This was never used. See more...

ER mistakes
Continuity: As Mark futilely pounds on Jodi O'Brien's chest, Carol can be seen in the background, removing her protective glasses with one hand. However, after the time of death has been called and they're showing the reactions of everyone present in the room (Susan, Carol, Carter, Lydia, Chen), Carol is seen taking the glasses off again, this time with both hands.
ER trivia
The first four episodes of the show all began the same way - with one of the doctors being awakened early in the morning from 'Exam 8' at the end of the hallway, in this order: Greene (Pilot), Lewis (Day One), Benton (Going Home), Carter (Hit and Run). Ross (George Clooney) was the only one of the original five who never slept in Exam 8.
ER quotes

Robert Romano: You're scaring me, Peter, you're not your usual jolly self today. You haven't developed a drug addiction or a dinking problem like the rest of your misfit buddies down at the ER, have you?
Peter Benton: Nope.
Robert Romano: Give it time.
Robert Romano: I haven't seen you in, oh gosh, who really cares?
