Continuity: Merry and Pippin were bound when taken by the Uruk-hai, and the bonds weren't cut until after they managed to escape during the fight. Yet, when the horse almost crashed down on Pippin, he had his arms spread out up near his face, not bound, even though they weren't cut until later. In the next shot, his hands are bound again.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers mistakes
Continuity: At Henneth Annun, Sam suggests to Frodo to use the Ring to escape. Frodo and Sam are sitting in front of three barrels and also in the room are sacks, a crate and candles burning behind them. When Faramir arrives, Frodo and Sam are now sitting on blankets, there are no barrels in sight, the walls are different, there is an extra crate, with food on one and the candles are grouped differently.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers trivia
When Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli run up to search the burnt orc corpses for Merry and Pippin in Rohan, Aragorn kicks the metal Orc helmet on the ground. This particular bit was reshot several times and it is the last take they show in the film because Aragorn's scream and following sigh are so realistic. Well, that is because Viggo Mortensen actually broke two of his toes, when he kicked the helmet so hard in that take.
Elijah Wood describes this as "spontaneous, violent love." Apparently Viggo Mortensen and some stunt men enjoyed greeting co-workers by 'head-butting' each other. One night he convinced stunt man Sala Baker to head-butt Orlando Bloom, who jokingly swears he saw 'white light', after their heads smashed together. A bright red mark on Bloom's forehead was not appreciated by the make-up artist the next day. Mortensen was amused because Bloom had the "perfect, pale Elven complexion." Appendices, Extended DVD.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers quotes
Gimli: What is happening out there?
Legolas: Should I describe it to you? Or would you like me to find you a box?
Legolas: Final count, 42.
Gimli: 42, now that's not a bad score. I myself am sitting happily on 43.
[Legolas pulls out an arrow and shoots the Urukhai body Gimli is sitting on]
Gimli: He was already dead.
Legolas: He was twitching!
Gimli: He was twitching because he's got my axe embedded in his nervous system!
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers easter eggs
Easter Egg on the Special Extended DVD: Put in the first movie DVD (The Two Towers Part 1), go to Select a Scene. Scroll all the way down past the last scene ("Of Herbs and Stewed Rabbit") and there should be a ring cursor beside "New Scene" and then click on it. It's Gollum's acceptance speech from the MTV Movie Awards. Because of the content, it is not appropriate for children. Please note that this easter egg is not found in the U.K. version.
