During the opening credits you see Anna at a press conference facing an enormous crowd of photographers. There is a blinding series of flashes, but in slow motion you can see that most of them don't originate from flashlights. [Isn't there a rule about if it has to be seen in slo-mo then its not a mistake?]

Notting Hill (1999) - 3 corrections
Directed by Roger Michell, starring Hugh Grant, Julia Roberts, Rhys Ifans, James Dreyfus, Dylan Moran (add more)
Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. To submit your own corrections for mistakes, just click the edit icon under an entry, then choose "correct entry". Some entries have "duplicated entry" after them - these are entries which were already listed on the main page, but were submitted again. I occasionally leave these online for a while, just in case they were moved in error, so don't worry about pointing them out to me.

In the scene when Anna first walks into the shop, her hair is really long and goes about half way down her back. When she goes to the flat, and throughout most of the rest of the film, her hair is shoulder length. There is another instance when she once again has really long hair, when she is eating in the restaurant with Will. [Anna's hair is shorter in front than in the back, so normally, when we see her face, her hair will seem shorter than it really is. In both of the scenes where her hair is "longer", the short front part is pulled back.]
During the scene where Hugh Grant is walking through Notting Hill as the seasons change, you can see his sister by a flower cart having a fight with her boyfriend. She has short, red hair. In the next scene, she walks into his shop and says "I got her phone number." She now has longer blond hair. In the very next scene, that night, she again has short red hair. [Maybe a wig, given her penchant for odd hair...]
