When Dollarhyde is shot near the end of the film, he falls on the floor of the kitchen and a pool of blood spreads out from underneath him. In the next shot of his body on the floor, the pool of blood has disappeared. See more...

Manhunter (1986) - 2 corrections

Directed by Michael Mann, starring Brian Cox, Dennis Farina, Joan Allen, Tom Noonan, William Petersen (add more)

Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. To submit your own corrections for mistakes, just click the edit icon under an entry, then choose "correct entry". Some entries have "duplicated entry" after them - these are entries which were already listed on the main page, but were submitted again. I occasionally leave these online for a while, just in case they were moved in error, so don't worry about pointing them out to me.

Entry The shot which follows on immediately after Dollarhyde is shot shows a large stain of blood under him in the shape of a dragon's wings. He could not have lost that much blood that quickly, and it would be impossible for it to form so accurate a shape that fast. [If one of the bullets penetrated the aorta, Dallarhyde would bleed out within seconds. Literally. Impossible to form that shape? Why? Is there some sort of restriction on this kind of thing? Unlikely, maybe, impossible, no.]
Entry Francis Dolarhyde's name is spelled with one l, but on the driver's license displayed in the film, it is spelled with two. [This is a discrepancy between the movie and the "Red Dragon" novel, not a mistake within the movie.]
