Mistake Continuity: When Lestat slices the whore's wrist at the hotel, blood drips everywhere on the couch, but when she stands up in the next shot, there is no blood anywhere.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: At the end of the movie, at the bridge inside the car there is a fight between Lestat and Daniel so no one should be driving the car, but you can clearly see a man driving it and he's all covered in black.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Louis is transforming into a vampire, he finally stops crawling around and lies on the ground. There are two leaves in his hair on either side of his head. We then see a shot of Lestat and then back to Louis and the leaves are gone.

Mistake Revealing: When Lestat returns from the swamp and attacks Louis and Claudia, he advances towards Claudia around the piano and his shirt flies up, showing normal flesh color on his back, only his face and hands are covered in makeup.

Mistake Revealing: In the scene in the hotel with the two serving wenches, Lestat bites the woman through her dress and she gasps showing a complete line of fillings.

Mistake Other: In the scene where Lestat and Louis are in the tavern, Lestat kills the barmaid. He says "She's as dead as a doornail, my friend", and rests her head on the table. He then drops some coins onto the table, and the "dead" woman's eyes flicker in reaction.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where there is a vampire hanging upside down, played by Stephen Rea I think, the cloak around his shoulders looks normal, not hanging upside down with him.

Mistake Revealing: After Lestat bites the breast of the whore and she begins to scream, he bites her wrist and you can see the outline of the blood device in the sleeve of her dress.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Louis is convulsing in the graveyard after taking blood from Lestat, in the background you can see Lestat trying to sit up in front of the tomb and makes it half way up, in the next shot he is getting up from being on the ground all over again.

Mistake Factual error: Paris was surrounded by the German army on September 20th 1870, until January 1871 due to the aftermath of the Franco-Prussian War. This was an obvious danger after the defeat of the French army on September 2nd. No-one in Paris, however, seems to notice.

Mistake Continuity: The scene where Louis is kissing the old woman with the two poodles under the tree, she kisses his mouth and smears lip stick onto his nose. The camera cuts away to the two poodles, then back to them but the lipstick is not on Louis' nose any longer.

Mistake Revealing: When Lestat bites Louis and then drops him in the Mississippi River, Louis is walking back onto land and telephone poles are visible in the background.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Claudia cuts off her hair and than screams when it grows back, when she runs into the room and closes the door you can see a crew member through the window on the upper righthand side of the screen.

Mistake Continuity: When Lestat and Louis are in the graveyard and Lestat is turning Louis into a vampire, when he first drops his blood into Louis's mouth there is blood dripping all down one side of Louis's face. He sucks Lestat's blood and it's still there, then when he starts convulsing because his body is dying, he has blood only on his chin.
