Continuity: Ian Malcolm dies in Jurassic Park. In the epilogue it says that the Costa Rican Government would not "permit the burial of John Hammond or Ian Malcolm", yet he's somehow back to life for this book, presumably because the character in the movie was popular.

Continuity: Dodgeson is 34 years old in "Jurassic Park" and in "the Lost World" he is in his mid 40s. However "the Lost World" is set six years after "Jurassic Park", so he should be 40, not in his mid 40s.
